Dr. Kobernik is a dual board certified Dentist Anesthesiologist earned through NYU Langone Hospitals Brooklyn under a three year residency. His professional interests focus on anesthesia for dental patients along with dental alveolar surgery, extractions, advanced bone grafting procedures, and dental implant procedures. His experience and ongoing education gave him opportunities to mentor and teach other dentists in the field of implant dentistry.
In 2006, Dr. Kobernik received his Doctorate in Medical Dentistry from Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, OR. Upon graduation, he accepted a position as an associate dentist for the Medical Center Dental Office in Pendleton, OR. While there, he was staffed at St. Anthonys Hospital where he provided dentistry to adults, children, and those patients with developmental delays under general anesthesia with the assistance of a separate anesthesia provider in an operating room setting. Additionally, he sat on St. Anthonys Anesthesia Committee and Cancer Care Committee.
On November 8, 2014, Dr. Kobernik was honored with the American Academy of Implant Dentistrys Associate Fellow designation after passing rigorous written and oral exams. While maintaining his practice established in Roseburg at the beginning of 2009, Dr. Kobernik has proudly served as the past president and past vice president of our local Oregon Dental Society affiliate, the Umpqua Dental Society.
Although Dr. Kobernik was trained in IV Moderate Sedation and was able to sedate his patients in office for a variety of dental procedures, he recognized that many patients needed to be sedated to a greater level than what is allowed by the Oregon Board of Dentistry under an IV Moderate Sedation permit. Because of the profound need for in office sedation and anesthesia, his history of working in hospital setting, and his work with other anesthesia providers, Dr. Kobernik decided to put his private practice on hold and go to residency.
His interest in anesthesia took him to New York where he was recognized for his outstanding service by his program directors and was thus named Chief Resident at NYUs Dental Anesthesia residency for two of the three years he was in Brooklyn. While in residency, Dr. Kobernik, spoke at multiple events for the American Dental Society of Anesthesia including the national meetings held in Chicago, IL, Brooklyn, NY, and Portland, OR.
As a good standing member of Oregon Dental Association, Oregon Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and resident member of both the American Dental Society of Anesthesia and the American Society of Dentist Anesthesiologists, Dr. Kobernik does his best to represent the profession as a whole while caring for his patients.

What an amazing group! They are so kind and genuine. What a great environment!! Dr was extremely caring and explained everything about my upcoming procedure. He really listened to me. If you get referred to them you will be in good hands

I had a great experience here. The receptionist was kind and understanding. The dentist took care of my problem quickly and gave good advice. I didn't feel at all like he was condescending or judgemental.

Dr. Kobernik and his team do a wonderful job. I had an extraction that was particularly difficult and my regular dentist referred me to this amazing oral surgeon. Dr. Kobernik performed the extraction skillfully, quickly, and painlessly. I highly recommend

Been a patient here since 2011 with a break in between.Billing used to be great.I was told I had a 0 balance when I directly called to ask and had the means to pay.Months later was contacted with a $650+ bill.I started paying it in payments as I did not have the same means at that time.Had a few fillings and some tmj symptoms that were painful and despite the situation I had already been put in went in again for treatmeant.Was told a fitted mouthguard would be a $100 copay.I wasnt sure i would ever wear it or that it would help but i was assured the $100 copay was all I had to pay and $98 copay for the 2 small fillings.I tried to pay the $200 at time of service but was told I only owed $100.Paid off the original bill and now have another $600 tacked on to the "only $200 visit".When I call to question it I am met with severe additude from someone named Becky.Covid hasnt been the greatest time to deal with the added financial stress caused from this.

My son had all 4 wisdom teeth extracted and it couldn't have been more of a relaxing great experience. Dr. Kobernik was even in the office over the holiday weekend to make sure my son was doing okay. I couldn't be happier with the Dr. and the entire staff. I highly reccomend them for your dental needs.

Dr Kobernick is amazing. I have went to at least 10 dentists that attempted to numb me and I never go numb no matter how many shots. I have had many dentists fire me over crying, or just my anxiety in general. I have had impacted wisdom teeth that have needed removed for years and years that caused me a lot of pain but needing surgically removed, I couldn't sit through it not numb. Dr kobernick was so fast I didnt even know. I only had 1, not all 4 removed as I had never had a tooth pulled let alone surgically and wanted to see how it went. He also followed up with me a week later because I was still having some pain. Once again the most caring dentist I have ever seen. I do not have a bad word to say about the man or his staff. When I go in to have the rest of my teeth fixed I wont be anywhere near as anxious he put my mind at so much ease.

Was scared to have my wisdom teeth removed and I'm glad I was able to go here because this dentist is really good and friendly staff with a super clean and comfortable facility. They take good care of their patients and I would highly recommend. Probably the best dentist office I've been to. Thanks Hucrest Dental!

Dr. Kobernik and his staff are so amazing! It has been almost 5 years now since I received a dental bridge from them. It is holding up great, and I am always getting compliments on my teeth. I like to explain the story of how I acquired my fake teeth, and how gracious Dr. Kobernik was to provide me with them. If I could give them more stars, I would!

I have been with Dr. Kobernik for years. From routine teeth cleaning to root canals, emergency tooth needs and my family's dental health, they have been there for our family, during and after hours, every step of the way. Friendly staff, quality dentistry, excellent follow up. We never dread a visit, we welcome it.
