Dr. Halina Montano has been practicing cosmetic dentistry in Boca Raton, Florida since 1995. She is an honor graduate from New York University, where she graduated in the honor program on the Deans list and received the prestigious Bernard E. Visiting the dentist regularly for preventive care is the best way to keep your teeth protected against gum disease and other dental problems. Oftentimes, many patients hold off on going to the dentist because they are not experiencing any visible issues with their smile. We strongly do not recommend this. Coming in frequently for cleanings and exams not only saves your smile but also saves your budget down the road.
You should be brushing your teeth with a soft-bristle toothbrush and fluoride toothpaste twice a day, especially before going to bed to remove any food particles. You should also be flossing daily to clean out any leftover bacteria and plaque. For additional protection from decay, we recommend using a mouthwash of your choice to keep your mouth clean and fresh.

This may include requesting a type of sedation to help lower your nerves or performing mindfulness exercises before we begin treatment.
We recommend following the advice from the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) to bring in your child about six months after their first tooth erupts. Coming to see the dentist this early helps ensure your childs molars are growing in correctly.
Your baby will start growing teeth in the second trimester of your pregnancy. After birth, they typically will appear between 6 to 10 months of age. Once your child has two adjacent teeth, this would be an acceptable time to use floss for their smile.

When left untreated, the severity goes from mild inflammation to destruction of your gums and bone structure. To help prevent gum disease, we strongly recommend visiting the dentist regularly for your cleanings and exams.
The main cause of developing periodontal disease is the formation of plaque on the surface of your teeth. Once this plaque hardens and turns into dental calculus, the more present this disease becomes. If not treated properly and quickly, you may suffer from tooth loss. Extremely satisfied with the service provided here. From the time I entered, I was greeted by my name. The exceptional seems continued with the hygienist and the Doctor. I went in for a routine cleaning and the hygienist was gentle and friendly. Not to mention the music selection in the office was so good. I hummed all through my procedure. I'm happy to have found this office and will be sticking with them for as long as I can! 10/10 will recommend!

My first visit to this office was wonderful !I was recommended to Dr. Montano by a friend and I am so happy I went there! The office itself is beautiful, and the staff is friendly. I had a great cleaning and a treatment plan that fits my schedule ,and with special financing, my budget as well. I left knowing that my dental needs will be well taken care of!

Every time I go its all lies. Unethical behavior at its highest degree. From the receptionist to the hygienist to the Dr., don't believe a word you hear. They are scamming you and your insurance company every chance they get. They seem very nice and professional and do good work, but will lie cheat and steal from anyone for an extra dollar. This is the most unethical Dentist office I have ever been too. I've given them multiple chances to change, but every visit has gotten worse with the lies and deception. It is so sad that your local Drs office will literally do anything, including breaking the law to earn a quick dollar. Making up copays that don't exist, saying the insurance company shorted payment and collecting from the patient, hitting you for extra fees after you get in the chair because of "Covid". And of course the usual, recommending expensive crown replacements that are not needed and completely unnecessary. Don't let the nice behavior full you, It's all lies!!!!!

I am so grateful they got me in soon after a root canal. Dr. Montano is a true professional! My crown needed adjusting and she did not let me leave until I felt comfortable. She and her staff were very efficient, empathetic, and treated me like family from the moment I walked in the door til the moment I walked out. Happy I listened to my husband and went back!

I cant express how comfortable I was for my first visit. I originally started off with no insurance, so that right there was a little intimidating. They have a self-pay bundle package that was very affordable, so I was very grateful to be able to complete my first visit with that option. The staff is beyond amazing and quite honestly, I feel like I been going there for years. The office is clean, always runs on time, very welcoming, just an overall amazing place to trust with your dental needs. Thank you!

I have been going to HSM dental for over 5 years now. When you find a place that's not only cleanly, and welcoming and never had to wait more than 10 mins so be seen that's the kind of environment a patient wants when visiting. Parking is never an issue and they work with patient availability and also are great at communication.

I have been a patient of Dr. Montano for years and shs is the only dentist I trust. I have a fear of dentist and Dr. Montano and her staff are extremely patient and underatanding of my fears.
