Dr. Howard Silver graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology in 1993 with a bachelors (BS) degree in Biology, and the State University of New York at Buffalo with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 1997. In 1998, he went on to complete an Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the University of Buffalo.
Dr. Silver is committed to perfecting his craft through ongoing education and training. He is a Pankey Institute dentist, working under the philosophy of helping patients receive the best care possible and educating patients to make appropriate choices to achieve comprehensive treatmentversus fixing teeth one tooth at a time. In addition, Dr. Silver has received continuing education at the Kois Center, an innovative training program on the latest advances in esthetic, implant and restorative dentistry.
In addition to working in his Pittsford practice, Dr. Silver has also worked part time as a Clinical Instructor at SUNY Buffalo School of Dentistry (1999-2005). He served as President of Rochester Dental Study Club in 2004. Dr. Silver is married with three children. In his spare time, he enjoys skiing and travel.

Our office participates with Excellus BlueCross BlueShield. We will estimate in advance what your insurance will pay towards your treatment and accept that as partial payment. You are then responsible for the remaining balance or co-pay after insurance.
As a courtesy to our patients, for all other insurance we will electronically file most claims so that the waiting time for reimbursement is minimal. We appreciate full payment on the day of treatment unless other arrangements have been made in advance. We accept cash, checks, Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.

This is the best Dentist in NYC hands down. I am nervous to even get a cleaning let alone dental work done. I've always had a stellar experience, and my teeth look great! The staff is always friendly. I've been going years and will continue to in the future. 10/10

This is our first Google Review, and we want to share our incredible experience with Dr. Howard Silver and Pinnacle Dental. Our daughter had a terrible experience with another dentist who attempted to hold her down during a procedure. She had dental anxiety after this, and she was terrified to be in a dental chair again. We tried another dentist, and identified a cavity, but my daughter was unable to go through with the cavity being filled. We found Pinnacle Dental online, and they offer a pain free laser machine to fill the cavity. We had a consultation, and Dr. Silver and his staff were wonderful, but when we scheduled the appointment for the filling, my daughter couldn't go through with it. She was terrified. We left and called Nicole, and we talked through how we could try again. Nicole is incredible. She is patient, knowledgeable, and kind. She talked us through the dental anxiety, the actual procedure, and explained all of the tools, and how they were used. Dr. Silver talked about each step before it happened, and he talked with my daughter about high school and college. They both distracted her with facts and funny stories, and she was finally able to get her cavity filled. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Silver and Nicole. They really care about the well being of their patients. They went out of their way to help a patient with dental anxiety feel comfortable and to trust them. We are very happy with our experience with Pinnacle Dental. They were fantastic to work with.

My hygienist worked efficiently and effectively, and was most pleasant during the visit. My only complaint--though I understand the situation--is that she had to hand-scale and could not polish my teeth as the vibrating equipment is not sanctioned during the pandemic. I much prefer that method.
