Dr. Nguyen studied electrical engineering and computer science (EECS) at UC Berkeley. He worked in the mainframe computer industry for more than three years in the U.S. and Japan in the 1980s before he went back to dental school at UC San Francisco. He graduated from Berkeley with the highest honors (top 3%) and went on to Stanford University for his masters degree, also in EECS. Dr. Nguyen was awarded the Regent Scholarship from both UC Berkeley and UC San Francisco. He also received numerous awards during his dental years: Martin awards for academic achievements, Hughes for prosthodontics, the Fleming award for outstanding care for the patients and a CDA scholarship.
When Dr. Nguyen is not practicing dentistry at his private practice, he enjoys serving for a number of organizations for volunteer works. He is very active with his high schools alumni association. He also enjoys badminton, tennis and spending time with his family, which includes his beautiful wife and two children. He is a member of the American Association of Functional Orthodontics, the California Dental Association and the American Dental Association.
Kelly graduated from Chabot College in Hayward in 1989 and joined our team in August 2018. She loves meeting new people and building relationships with them, and she is dedicated to educating her patients on how to keep their mouths and smiles healthy. Kelly enjoys being part of a practice that is smaller and gives her more time to get to know her patients.
Kelly graduated from Western Career College in 2007 with her certification as a dental assistant. She joined our team in November 2017, and she enjoys helping our patients and making them feel as comfortable as possible. She also loves being part of such a great team! When not working, Kelly enjoys spending time with her family, visiting parks and going to the beach.
LeLan joined our practice in 1994 and has been helping our patients ever since. She is a graduate of Lincoln High School and San Francisco State University. She also attended dental assisting school. Working here is a blessing for LeLan as she gets to spend time with such wonderful team members and patients. In her spare time, LeLan can often be found with her husband of 21 years and their two children. Her hobbies include skiing, swimming, reading, shopping and stepping.
Sandra has been a member of our team since 2009. She graduated from Sacramento City College with her AS degree in dental hygiene in 1991. It has always been Sandras goal to discover, understand and address each individual persons needs and concerns. She also makes it a priority to educate, support and encourage each person on their journey toward optimal dental health. Working at the office of Dr. Nguyen has given Sandra an appreciation for the genuine respect, commitment and care shared among Dr. Nguyen and the team and toward each patient.
Sandras spare time is usually spent with her family, which includes her two grown children (twins, Kelly and Jeff) and her grandson, Cruz. Some of Sandras hobbies include visiting secondhand stores she loves the hunt, the find and the bargain and painting furniture. She loves shabby chic! You may also find Sandra reading and gardening when she is not at the office.
Sophon graduated from A.A. Stags High and attended Health College for her associate degree, as well as attending Maric College, before joining our practice in February 2016. She is committed to providing comfortable care to her patients. Sophon is married and has two children, and in her spare time, she enjoys baking.

Dr. Nguyen and his staff are absolutely amazing. I have severe anxiety of the dentist office to the point where I instantly go into a panic attacks pulling up the the parking lot of the office let alone entering it, however, Dr. Nguyen and his team always made me feel safe and calm.
