Dr. Hugh J Howard has been in practice for 29 years and he continues to dedicate himself to the provision of gentle, compassionate care using the latest dental technology. Dr. Howard grew up in LaVerkin, UT and attended Hurricane High School. After serving an LDS mission to California he attended Dixie State before transferring to Brigham Young University. After graduating with honors he attended the University of Utah and then the University of Washington in Seattle where he received his doctorate Degree in Dentistry in 1985. But he didnt abandon his education after school; Dr. Howard has continued to grow in the field of dentistry by attending training courses to learn innovative new techniques and technologies to incorporate into superior dental care. Continuing education is of utmost importance and he exceeds the number hours required by the ADA annually.
Dr. Howard is active in his community and church. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Margaret, and their family. He loves the outdoors and playing basketball. Music has always been a hobby throughout his life; he loves to sing, play the piano & guitar and he writes beautiful music. Dr. Howards patients often comment on their positive experiences, noting his sensitivity, caring nature, and professionalism. Dr. Howards commitment to excellence and his passion for dentistry shows in his work. He is also an artist and he approaches all forms of care, from dental fillings to porcelain veneers, with an artistic eye, achieving both clinical and aesthetic results.
Nicole Stout received recognition and honors for her work throughout her education. Nicole graduated from Hurricane High School in 1999 as class Valedictorian. She went on to graduate Summa Cum Laude from Dixie State College in 2001 with her Associates Degree. She attended a year at BYU before being accepted into the prestigious Dixie State College Dental Hygiene Program. She graduated Cum Laude from the program in 2004, and was voted most employable by her professors. She, along with her Hygiene class, was ranked #1. Besides her passion for dentistry Nicole is married to Jed Stout and has four beautiful children. She is also an active runner and competes in the St George Marathon and numerous other relays.
Tonya Beutler has practiced with Dr. Howard since 1995. Tonya grew up in Preston, Idaho and attended Idaho State University where she graduated with a bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene. She is also an active member of the Utah Dental Hygienists Association. In her spare time she enjoys playing and listening to country music, creative writing and four-wheeling. Tonya is happily married to Doug and together they have 5 children.
Nancy Theobald joined Dr. Howards team in 2002 and loves her job. You can be assured that she will not let any stone go unturned while preparing for and assisting with your dental treatment. Having Nancy at your side is like having a trusted friend.Nancy and her husband David enjoy spending time with their 3 daughters and grandchildren on their farm in Toquerville.
Claudia Pierce welcomes our patients with her beautiful and friendly smile. She loves people and has a wonderful sense of humor. She is a native of LaVerkin. She is married to Eldon and they have 3 wonderful children. She enjoys spending time with her daughters and grandchildren that live in LaVerkin. She also enjoys traveling to visit her son and his family.
Raelene Postma has been working as an assistant for Dr. Howard since 1991 and has loved every minute of it. Its been said that everyone loves Raelene! Along with her incredible kindness and calming personality, she has a magical touch that makes her an excellent dental assistant. Outside of work Raelene and her husband Henry enjoy vacationing with their children and grandchildren.
Keri is our trustworthy and dedicated billing coordinator. Behind every good dental office is their staff. Keri loves organization and will make sure there is never a mix up in the billing department. She also loves to take on challenges and implement new ideas. Keri is married to her love, Kris, and they have 5 beautiful and talented children.
