Tammi joined the dental field 23 years ago. She has served as a hygiene coordinator, dental assistant & patient coordinator before taking on her role as office manager in 2016. She enjoys working closely with patients & has continued to expand her knowledge to provide them with the best possible experience.
Joe grew up in Bedford & graduated from Austin College in Sherman with a degree in Asian studies with a focus on religion. He has been active in church youth activities throughout his life & has done some world travel. He attended medical school briefly before transitioning to the dental industry. He doesnt have kids of his own but is a very proud uncle!
Angie earned her dental hygiene degree from Tarrant County College in 2010. Her years as an executive assistant provided her with a great background to enter dentistry. Customer service, time management & working toward a goal have all contributed to her ability to provide excellent care for our Howard Family Dental patients. Angie brings advanced dental experience from her work with a periodontal group (gum specialists), mobile dentistry & several general dentistry offices. Her favorite aspect of dentistry is helping patients learn to apply good oral care habits, that make a difference in their long-term health.
Angie is married with three grown children & has two grandchildren. She & her husband provide care for her mom, who lives with them. When she is not working in dentistry, she is involved in equestrian activities or DIY projects around the house.
Ashley attended Colorado Mesa University where she obtained her bachelors degree in psychology. She then attended Tarrant County College & became a licensed dental hygienist. She enjoys getting to know her patients & strives to create a welcoming individualized dental experience.
In her free time, she keeps busy with her husband, Philip, & her two rescue dogs. Together, they enjoy spending time with family & friends, exploring the outdoors & experimenting in the kitchen with new recipes.
Crystal graduated with a bachelor of science in dental hygiene from Texas Womans University in Denton. She was awarded the Colgate Student Total Achievement Recognition Award & the Community Oral Health Award for her outstanding work in the community. Crystal continues to volunteer in clinics in Fort Worth & Arlington. She is a member of the American Dental Hygienists Association, Texas Dental Hygienists Association & the Greater Fort Worth Dental Hygienists Association.
Prior to being a hygienist, she was a dental assistant & has experience in prosthodontics, oral surgery & general dentistry. Her hobbies include trying new restaurants & exploring the metroplex for fun activities with her 12-year-old daughter.
Kourtney went to Concord Career College & was personally trained by Dr. Howard. She has been with the practice since its beginning in 2016. She is highly trained in the use of modern dental technology, from digital x-rays to in-office teeth whitening procedures. She also has advanced training in nitrous oxide sedation.
Marlo has been with Dr. Howard & the team since 2019. Born & raised in Fort Worth, she married her high school sweetheart & they now have three children. Marlo volunteers with her local church & with Linking Hearts, providing back-to-school supplies & Christmas gifts to underprivileged children. In her free time, she enjoys sports, outdoor activities & traveling with family & friends.
Kathy has been with Howard Family dental since May 2021. She graduated in 2006 from the dental assisting program at Career Centers of Texas & also holds certifications in CPR & nitrous oxide sedation. Before joining the team, she was a dental assistant instructor at Texas Academy of Dental Assisting for three years. She is also fluent in Spanish.
Daniela grew up in Fort Worth & graduated from Arlington High School in 2018. She became a registered dental assistant in 2022 at Remington College after finding passion for the work as an intern at Howard Family Dental & now is a full-time member of the team. She is also CPR certified & is fluent in Spanish.
Dr. Meilin Howard, our owner, grew up in Sichuan, China. An international student & recipient of a full scholarship, she graduated summa cum laude from Texas Christian University. A member of Phi Beta Kappa, she earned her professional degree from Texas A&M University College of Dentistry.
At the office, Dr. Howard has earned a reputation for clinical excellence & patient satisfaction & enjoys building relationships with her patients in a relaxed environment. Thanks to a wonderful staff & incredible patients, Dr. Howard is grateful to be able to deliver the highest quality of family dental care.
When Dr. Howard is not at the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband Willa nice Texas gentleman she met at a TCU football game& their three-year-old daughter Emily. Dr. Howards interests include cooking, singing, hiking & stand-up paddling as well as classical music, the opera, & playing piano & guitar at home.
Dr. Bazan has been practicing dentistry since 1998. She is originally from Houston, Texas, & graduated with her undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Dallas. She obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1998 & completed her periodontal residency at the University of Maryland in 2003. She is Board Certified by the Academy of Periodontology.
Dr. Bazan prides herself in staying up to date on procedures & having the latest equipment & instruments available to serve her patients. She is conservative in her treatment plans so that she is able to achieve predictable & successful outcomes for her patients. She takes the time to do a thorough clinical examination & discusses the treatment options with her patients. She aspires to have each patient completely understand the options available so that they are able to make the most appropriate decision for their situation.
Dr. Bazan practices dentistry because she loves it. She treats people as she wants to be treated, & her patients confirm that she is achieving that goal. On a more personal note, she is an avid marathon runner, enjoys traveling & loves sharing her passion for a healthy lifestyle.
Dr. Starck is dedicated to providing the highest quality care possible & has completed residencies in anesthesia & oral & maxillofacial surgery. He has also completed fellowships in hospital dentistry & oral surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital & cosmetic facial, orthognathic, cleft lip & palate surgery at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth. Additionally, Dr. Starck holds a diploma from the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. He looks forward to providing his patients with personalized dental care.
