Updated review after visit on 9/23/2022: I can't say enough about Dr. Howard Matt! I had to make an emergency visit today and am beyond grateful that he was immediately able to make the time to see me. He took care of the issue I had with a tooth and eliminated the pain I was feeling by filing a back tooth that was aggravated by clenching due to stress. Mary Ellen was able to arrange this emergency visit with Dr. Matt and I am truly awed by the professionalism and kindness of Dr. Matt and all the staff in his dental practice. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Matt to one and all - a better dentist you will never find! PAST REVIEWS: As a patient of Dr. Matt's for many decades - I can't say enough about Dr. Matt and his practice. I am a person who had very negative experiences with dentists from early childhood. Dr. Matt is a true professional and a perfectionist. He is a kind & gentle man who truly has made each & every visit pain-free. Visiting the dentist has become like visiting old friends - many of his amazing staff have been with the practice for decades too - they have truly become like family to me! I highly recommend Dr. Howard Matt in Syosset. He is a wonderful dentist! September 2020: Additional review following more recent visits. Once again I not only have received quality dental care and professionalism during my more recent visits - coming to Doctor Howard Matt's office is like visiting with longtime dear friends. Marie is the person you will speak with when calling to set up an appointment and she is also the smiling face that will greet you upon arrival. Of course in these days of Covid - it's Marie's eyes that you see smiling as pandemic protocol is proficiently practiced at all times. As the business manager, Marie's professionalism, kindness & ability are truly a gift to the practice. On Tuesday I was in for a cleaning and x-rays. Annie is the hygienist and she is gentle, thorough, kind and does a phenomenal job - always! Like Marie - Annie has been part of the team for decades and is a gift to the practice. As always - Dr. Matt is amazing. In addition to being kind, gentle, humorous and a perfectionist - he really listens to his patients and does not push a person to have work done that's not needed. An example is that I was having discomfort with a back tooth. I was certain a root canal was in my future. Filing the tooth a bit to adjust my bite relieved the discomfort. If it flared up again - I knew Dr. Matt was just a phone call away. As you can tell - I highly recommend this wonderful practice to one and all! October 2020: In late October I visited Doctor Matt's Office to have a permanent crown installed. He made my entire visit pain free as always. Dr. Matt listens closely to his patients. Normally Novocain wouldn't be administered for the work that was done, but it was my preference to have Novocain. The injection administered skillfully and was completely pain free. It was once again a wonderful visit! I highly recommend Syosset Cosmetic Dentistry for all your dental needs - you won't be disappointed!

Best dentist! Dr. Matt is funny with amazing bed side manner. My visits are always painless, thorough and comforting! Need a cleaning, cosmetics or a filling .. go see Dr Matt. The office is efficient and boutique!

My first appointment. Got a cleaning. Annie (hygienist) was great.. very thorough. Doctor Matt examined me and seems very knowledgeable. Very comfortable experience for my first visit. I'll definitely be a repeat patient. UPDATE: I had a cap put on my new implant. Two visits. One to make molds second to fit it. Excellent experience! Dr Matt is a very knowledgeable dentist that makes you feel comfortable while the work is being done. Li most certainly be back.

Dr. Matt has been my dentist for 20+ years. I travel over an hour to see him and his wonderful staff, notably Annie the hygienist and MaryEllen at the front desk. Great dentist, and great practice, they make you feel right at home the moment you walk through the door!
