Dr. Johnson is a Colorado native, originally from Lakewood, CO. After attending the University of Colorado-Boulder, where he majored in Biology and Music, Dr. Johnson moved to Fort Collins before attending dental school. It was in Fort Collins that he met Dr. Kochevar while working as his dental assistant! Dr. Johnsonlater attended dental school at Boston University where he met his wife Shannan.
Desiring further education after school, Dr. Johnson joined the United States Air Force and attended a one year general dentistry residency, followed by serving 4 years as a Captain in the Air Force providing a wide scope of dental services to active duty airmen and retirees.
Since leaving the military, Dr. Johnson has traveled around the country following his wife who is still in the Air Force. This has allowed him to practice in multiple settings as well as serving as adjunct faculty at a dental school.
Colorado has always been home and now that military service is coming to an end the Johnson family is coming back to Colorado. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association, Spear Study Club, WhiteCap Implant Institute, the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine and the CEREC Mentor group.
When hes not in the office, Dr. Johnson spends his time with his wife and their three kids camping and exploring the Colorado outdoors. Despite all his travels, Colorado sports teams remain Dr. Johnsons favorites and he looks forward to cheering them on in person again!
Lisa grew up in Delafield, Wisconsin and moved to Colorado shortly after her parents moved here in 1997. She went to college in Madison, Wisconsin and graduated in 1994 with her Dental Hygiene degree. She shares Dr. Kochevars passion for continuing education and plans to continue to advance her skills in dental hygiene through continuing education courses and looks forward to bringing those skills to her patients of Longmont, for whom she has enjoyed caring for over 10 years. Lisa is married and has three children. A son, Randy, and twin girls, Ashley and Brooke. Outside of dentistry Lisa and her family enjoy camping and four wheeling with their ATVs.
Carlos has been a vital member to the Hover Dental Group team since 2011. He is Dr. Ks right hand man and helps make even the toughest of procedures go smoothly. He also enjoys and takes time getting to know all of our patients and building relationships with each of them, helping to make the dental experience more pleasant.
Lacie was born and raised in Longmont, CO. She graduated from Longmont High School in 2011 and completed a 2 year dental assisting program. Lacie has been working as a dental assistant since that time. When she is not working she enjoys camping and fishing with her family.
Shelia recently moved to Colorado from St. Louis, Missouri. She studied business administration at Washington University in St. Louis. She has been in the dental field for over20 years and has extensive experience in all areas of the front dental office. She enjoys building relationships with our patients and is always eager to help in any way possible. She is excited to help cultivate an atmosphere of both comfort and excellence where our patients and team can thrive and grow. She loves to spend time with family and friends. Sheenjoyshiking, learning to ski, and vacationing in any warm, tropical climate!
