Andrew Houston DMD graduated from Harris County High in 1990. He then attended Columbus College where he attained a B.S. in Biology in 1998. He continued his education at Troy State University and completed his Masters in Management and finally in 2003 he graduated from the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry. Dr Houston received several awards for excellence in the field of dentistry to include, Ronald E Goldstein Esthetic Award, International College of Dentist Outstanding achievement award and the Quintessence research award.
Dr Houston prides himself on continuing education, in order to provide his patients with the most up to date procedures and advancements in the field of dentistry. He has extensive training in Invisalign the clear alternative to braces and is recognized as a preferred provider. Also, Dr Houston spends numerous continuing education hours on advanced teeth whitening, cosmetic procedures and endodontic treatment. Dr Houston is a member of the American Dental Association and the Georgia Dental Association.
Dr. Houston is married to his beautiful wife Melanie and they have 4 children. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family. He also coaches little league soccer in Harris County. Other interest include fishing and playing tennis.
Dr. Josh Gropper is proud to have been raised in the Atlanta area. After graduating from Woodward Academy, he attended the University of Georgia where he earned multiple degrees in Biological Sciences, Applied Biotechnology, and Entomology. Furthering his education, Dr. Gropper completed his dental education at Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine in Cleveland, OH, where he obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) in 2013. Prior to joining Houston Dental, Dr. Gropper had been in private practice in Nashville, TN where he focused on providing excellent patient care while constantly seeking out further education in areas such as clear aligner orthodontics, implant therapies, Botox for TMJ, lip fillers, and oral conscious sedation.
While always having a desire to return to his home state of Georgia, Dr. Gropper was thrilled at the opportunity to provide dental care to the Newnan community alongside Houston Dental. Hes excited to bring his experience, knowledge, and patient centered care to the team and continues to seek out the best and latest in modern therapies for his clients. To stay current, Dr. Gropper has routinely been a member of multiple dental organizations and local study clubs including the American Dental Association (ADA), Georgia Dental Association (GDA), the South Metro Study Club, and the Peachtree Summit Study Club to name a few.
Outside of the office, Dr. Gropper enjoys spending time with his wife, Emily, who he met in Nashville and married in 2018. They love spending time outdoors with their two dogs. You can regularly find them hiking and exploring some of the local nature trails the area has to offer! Dr. Gropper is also an avid sports fan, especially locally with Georgia football! Go Dawgs! Now that they call Newnan home, you can find Dr. Gropper and Emily in our Newnan location. Come say hello!

I had extreme anxiety about going to the dentist. This office is amazing! You are greeted with a smiling face as you enter (I'm so sorry I missed her name!) in a warm atmosphere. Emily and Dr. Gropper are the kindest people and awesome at what they do. They always provide details and make sure you understand everything that is going on and what they will do. I am happy to say that I don't feel anxiety anymore about going and look forward to it every 6 months. Thank you guys!!

The friendly staff and excellent communication and explanation of benefits and charges was 10 stars but I could only give 5. I hadn't been to the dentist in years because my experiences were such a nightmare. Not this time, I was very pleased. I have more dental work to be done and I'm looking forward to it. Dr. Grouper is the G.O.A.T of dentistry. His staff is excellent and extremely thorough. Dr. Gropper is the G.O.A.T of dentistry and his staff are all M.V. P's. Love this place.

I would highly recommend this dentist and his staff! My husband and I both had first-time at this dentist cleanings.We had both had bad experiences at another dentist and were very apprehensive about going to the dentist again. The staff at Houston Dental Newnan were very friendly! Hygienist, dentist, and assistant took the extra time to explain everything before anything was done. They were very willing to answer all of our questions. Second cleaning today. Same amazing service and friendly staff!!!
