Now retired from clinical practice, bettering peoples lives through beautiful, healthy smiles was a mission for Dr. Holly for over twenty-five years. A special interest in cosmetic dentistry led her to pursue extensive advanced training in esthetic dentistry including training with nationally renowned cosmetic dentistry experts Dr. William
Dorfman (Extreme Makeover), and Dr. Bill Dickerson (Las Vegas Institute for Cosmetic Dentistry). Dr. Houska is a member of the McLean County Dental Society, Illinois State Dental Society, and the American Dental Association. Dr. Houska was named one of the Top Cosmetic Dentists in America and has received numerous professional and civic awards honoring her commitment to excellence and service. Dr. Holly is a recipient of the YWCA Woman of Distinction Award for Professions in recognition of her accomplishment in her profession and civic leadership. She is a graduate of Leadership Illinois and a member of the National Association of Professional Women.
In fifteen years of service to the Childrens Discovery Museum, Dr. Holly served several terms on the Board of the CDM, served two terms as Chairman of the Childrens Discovery Museum Foundation Board, and was the President of the Childrens Discovery Museum Guild.
Dr Holly was asked to represent the field of dentistry in a multidisciplinary Health Care Focus Group regarding healthcare needs in our community sponsored by the Heartland Community College. Her expertise in the field as well as an unwavering commitment throughout the course of her professional career to providing services to those in need is widely recognized. Dr. Holly has donated her professional services to the Illinois Mission of Mercy, Cunningham Childrens Home, Champaign County Nursing Home, and for two decades provided pro bono dental care to the children of the Baby Fold. Dr. Holly is the recipient of the Baby Folds Community Partner Award in recognition of her professional altruism.

Two stars because Dr Houska is a good dentist. But if you have an emergency, good luck! Today was that day for me. I broke a crown last night & immediately called & left a message. When I didn't hear back this morning I called them back & they had called the wrong phone number. He offered a time on very short notice that I was unable to make, but when I asked the person on the phone to ask him if he could see me Friday (they are usually closed but thought he might make an exception) he said, and I quote "find another practice". On top of that, they're off all next week for "conference". Wow. I've been going there for 4-5 years, you'd think he might be a little more flexible for an established patient with an emergency. And one more thing, this office doesn't give you a toothbrush, floss etc after a cleaning. Never been to a dentist before this who didn't. I actually asked about it after my first visit & they said it saves costs .... I sure didn't see that reflected in their prices. The office is absurdly large for one dentist so I am sure that figures into his prices. But all for the best, I found a new dentist, Dr Wyse, who will get me in on Monday & even offered a name of another dentist who might be able to get me in Friday. I can tell all ready I will be getting a new dentist who truly cares! He also gets great reviews. IN RESPONSE TO YOUR COMMENT DR HOUSKA: speak to the woman who I talked to yesterday. She read back the number they called. It was a wrong number! She's also said that YOU SAID "find another practice" I am not making this up & that comment is my main reason for this review.

Dr Houska is outstanding! He has done some intricate dental work for me and he does a fantastic job. His office is friendly, efficient and very clean. I am an RN who asked the doctors I knew for recommendations for a dentist and Dr Houska came highly recommended. I am more than pleased.

Dr Houska's office provided outstanding service. They did a though check of my oral heath. The cleaning was though and the steps that where being taken where explained. They where friendly and made my visit very comfortable.

I always manage to get in and out without any hassle. The staff is friendly and work to make checking in and out seamless. Today I was due for my five-year X-rays and the dental assistant managed to get them done in record time with no discomfort. Visiting the dentist is a painless experience at Houska Dental!

I am so thankful for the excellent care I receive at Dr Houska's office. The front office staff are always friendly, professional and helpful. Molly took care of me yesterday and she was just so thorough and took the time to explain to me what she was doing. Dr Houska is the best!!! I wouldn't go anywhere else for my dental needs!
