We offer several options for you to get the bright, beautiful smile you're looking for! If you're tried the bleaching systems in stores, but you're not getting the results you're looking for, we have options that may give you a more consistent, long-term result with ease. Depending on your case and what you are trying to achieve, we make recommendations to help you reach your goals.

Opalescence is an at-home whitening treatment that's very budget friendly and extremely easy to use! Single use trays with 10% whitening gel already inside are placed in your mouth, and a swallowing motion makes the tray mold to the contours of your teeth. After 30-60 minutes, the trays are removed to reveal a brighter smile. Individual packaging for each one allows for easy travelling if you're needing to whiten on the go.Trays come in boxes of 10 or can be purchased individually.

This at-home method uses 10% and 20% carbamide peroxide gel, placed in custom trays that we make for you. The gel is placed in the trays, then placed in your mouth for 20-30 minutes each day or every other day. You may develop sensitivity during the whitening process, which is normal using this method. Brushing with sensitive toothpaste may help with sensitivity symptoms, but if the sensitivity becomes painful, stop whitening! This system is successful for patients with minimal to moderate staining, and results may vary depending on your case.

This whitening system is the most effective whitening system that we offer. It is the only recognized system in the world that will whiten tetracycline stained teeth, which was previously thought to be impossible. KOR Whitening is great for deep smoker stains.

This system involves a custom tray made by KOR laboratories, to be worn at home with 16% gel, followed by an in office whitening treatment. Depending on the severity of stain, you may need two in-office treatments sandwiching the at-home tray treatment. The trays are worn at night, throughout the night, and patients often experience low to no sensitivity. You are also able to continue drinking red wine, tea, and coffee throughout the whitening process.

At every check-up and comprehensive exam, we look for oral cancer.5 year survival rates of oral cancer are very low - around 64%. However, mouth or throat cancer can be easier to treat if caught early on and the quality of life post treatment increases dramatically, depending on how early the cancer is detected. We check your cheeks, lips, gingiva, tongue, roof of the mouth, floor of the mouth, and visualize the throat for signs of cancer or any form of pathology. You may not notice us checking these areas, but we make a habit of looking thoroughly. We may palpate your neck and cheeks.

It is important to be screened for oral cancer even if you do not have any teeth. Patients that wear dentures should come in at least once a year to check the fit of their denture and be screened for pathology.

If we do find unusual tissue or tissue that we are suspicious of, we will take a clinical photograph to document the lesion. Depending on the type of lesion, we may recommend medication, a biopsy, or an immediate visit to a specialist for treatment. If you see something unusual and have a question, don't hesitate to come in and ask! It is always better to be safe than sorry when it comes to oral lesions!

Problem Focused Exams are centered around a particular problem you have. Generally this type of exam is reserved for emergency visits. While we do typically look around to get a general overlook of your teeth and tissues, our focus is on one particular tooth or lesion that you have brought to us for evaluation. After this type of exam, a comprehensive exam is still necessary to evaluate each tooth individually as well as in function with each other.

Brushing teeth is actually a technique sensitive task. Having your teeth professionally cleaned at least twice a year can help maintain healthy gums, teeth, and give your dental team an opportunity to help you perfect your tooth brushing and flossing technique. There may be some areas that you always miss that we see - and prevention is your first line of defense! We also clean underneath your gums, and remove deposits on your teeth that your toothbrush can't. Then we polish them to make them shine, and the smoothness helps keep food and other particles from sticking.

Dental x-rays are important tools to help us find caries in teeth, especially areas that we cannot see clinically. They can show us extent of decay in a cavity, warning signs of disease that may turn into problems, and help us give an accurate diagnosis and prognosis of a diseased tooth.

Sealants are generally recommended for children with teeth that we think may be susceptible to pit, groove, and fissure cavities. It is a preventive measure that involves sealing off the deep grooves so that food and bacteria cannot create a cavity. This procedure does not require any use of numbing medication.

In some cases, sealants are recommended for adults, but most insurance plans do not pay for adults to have this preventive procedure. If we think you need one and your insurance plan will not cover the expense, remember that preventing a problem is always cheaper than fixing a problem!

Best dentist experience to date. My appointment was at 8, was seen on time. I feel bad I didn't get her name but the lady who took my X-Rays and cleaned my teeth was so nice and gentle with my mouth. The Dentist Dr. House stopped by during my cleaning because he didn't want me waiting on him. On the way out there was a line to check out, so another person working took me to a separate computer so nobody was waiting. I can't express how valued I felt for my time and as a person, it's been a long time since a Dr/Dentist office treated me as the patient this way and I appreciate it. 10 out of 10 would recommend!

After a traumatic childhood dentist experience, I waited 58 years to finally find a dental office and staff that truly cares about the person who walks through their doors. From my initial call with Stephanie who listened to me about my fears to schedule me accordingly, to Jessica the xray/nurse who was gentle and kind, to Dr. Ruben who explained everything he was doing and what all of my options were for future treatments, this experience has given me hope, that I will be able to get through this. THANK YOU TO ALL!!!

My daughter saw a pediatric dentist in Bossier for most of her adolescence, but deciding to transfer her to the only dentist office that I've ever gone to was absolutely the best choice I could've made. Dr. Brittany is amazing with her & her dental asst is great, too! When we left, my daughter even told me that she really liked the dental asst. Keep it up House Family Dentistry! We Love our Haughton dentist

I absolutely enjoyed my visit with House Family Dentistry Employees! Everyone was so friendly and helpful and they actually CARED about your needs..I got in quickly, was seen quickly, and although I hate going to the dentist, I felt comfortable there. I loved the fact that they had Christian music playing when you walked through the door.. I loved that they took the time to listen to me and hear the issues that I was there for, and even drew a picture of what kind of work would need to be done so that I would understand it better, instead of just using "medical terms" and walking out. Also Made sure that I didn't have any questions and if I did, answered them all. It was my first time visiting this dentist office and will not be my last! I will also be bringing my little ones in as well! :) Thank you for being so kind!
