Dr. Hounsell is a native of Hockessin, Delaware. She is a graduate of Alexis I. Dupont High School and earned her undergraduate degree in biology from Westminster College. Dr. Hounsell received her dental degree in 1998 from Marquette University School of Dentistry where she was given the Ethics in Dentistry award upon graduation. She is a member of the American Dental Association and the Delaware Start Dental Society. In addition to these affiliations, Dr. Hounsell is a lumineers certified dentist and has completed courses at the Seattle Institute for Advanced Dental Education and the Las Vagas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. In her free time, Dr. Hounsell loves to spend time with her three incredible boys, Jack, Chase, and Ty. She also enjoys gardening, reading, and spending family time at the beach.
Diane is a graduate 1986 of DelCastle Technical High School's dental assisting program. She started her career as an oral surgery assistant. A native Delawarean, she has an Associates Degree in Applied Sciences from Delaware Technical and Community College. She has been a Dental Hygienist for over 25 years and has enjoyed treating patients 18 months to over 100 years old. When not in the office, she can be found fishing the lakes of Ontario, Canada or relaxing on the beached of OBX.
Linda graduated from the University of Delaware and has been in the dental frield for over 30 years. She has been Dr. Hounsell's primary assistant for over 10 years. Linda has taken courses in cosmetic dentistry at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. She enjoys playing golf, puzzles, reading and relaxing with her dog Carson.

I'm so glad that we found Hounsell Dental! Debbie examined, x-rayed and cleaned my 8 year old son's teeth. She kept him calm, made him laugh and explained everything to him before she did it. When we visited dentists in the past it was an ordeal because he was so nervous about the sounds and tools. But Debbie allowed him to touch the instruments and once he felt engaged he forgot about his nervousness and happily kept still while she worked. Dr. Hounsell was also very kind and explained what we need to do about his cavity. I definitely recommend this practice!

I've been going to Dr. Hounsell for a couple of years. She is in-network with multiple insurance companies, which is a big plus when you change companies and have new insurance. Hygenist cleanings have always been good and I've been seen on time with no waiting.

When my visit was over, I knew I had made an excellent Choice. From my first telephone call to the end of the visit. After the examination and x-rays, Dr. Hounsell spoke with me about what options I had, and they even called my insurance company to check cost. I was given information pamphlet to help with decision. My dental phobia remains at home while I visit this practice. Dr. Hounsell and her team couldn't be more comforting and conscientious as they meet my twice yearly needs. On the one occasion I required a crown, the procedure was completely pain free. I don't plan on returning more often, but they are all as pleasant as could be.
