Dr. Ashraf has certifications in Invisalign, Implants, and Laser and continues to seek out a variety of continuing education programs in order to provide her patients with the most up-to-date services in dentistry. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Arizona Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Ashraf lives in Tucson with her husband and two kids (daughter and son). Spending time with family is her favorite thing to do. She is an avid sports fan and enjoys playing and watching sports. Her other hobbies include trying new cuisines and restaurants and keeping up with her favorite television shows.

I'd lost a partial crown and needed another replaced. Dr. Fayyaz was great and took me in as an emergency patient. I left the same day with temporary crowns and an appointment for my new permanent crowns. Mariah, the dental assistant did an excellent job with the temporary crown placement. Thank you both

We've been going here for about a year now, and have had a great experience with your checkups/cleanings. We were there last week for my son to have 2 baby teeth extracted. Super disappointed to say the least. They gave him nitrous oxide as well as lidocaine. The dentist pulled out the first tooth, and went on to the second tooth. When she pulled out the second tooth she dropped the tooth down my son's throat. Due to nitrous oxide over his nose, his head could not come up easily with the hose wrapped around the chair, so as he came up the nose mask went flying across the room, and was violently coughing, to get the tooth out of his throat. I jumped up since he started grabbing his throat, and no sound coming out, and they just stood, and watched. He finally coughed up the tooth, and had to finish digging out the root. While digging out the root the dentist had asked for another instrument, which was brought in by someone else. The person who brought in the instrument took it out of the sterile pack, without gloves, and grabbed the part of the instrument that goes inside your mouth, and handed it to the doctor. I was so shaken up, and upset, I didn't say anything which I should have done. The dentist did not even apologize for the tooth going down his throat, and just said it happens. Extremely upset to say the least.

Going to the dentist is right up there with snakes for me but...everyone in this office is soo friendly & they make you feel soo comfortable!!! And they have the latest technology so anything & everything you need done can be taken care of at this office. I LOVE THAT!!! THANKS HFD...

The dentist and staff at Houghton family dental are amazing. I have had nothing but excellent service each time I have been to their office and recieved treatment. They are kind, friendly, patient, courteous, informative and flexible. I would highly recommend this dental office to anyone.

I was delighted shortly after I walked into their office to inquire about their services. They took us immediately and we had been waiting a couple of months for another dental office that never confirmed the appointment. We were left up in the air and that is never a good feeling.

I highly recommend this place! The staff is very friendly! Thank you for your help and support. UPDATE: Third time coming in to this place. Staff is very friendly. Very informative. Clean rooms and spacious lobby area. I enjoy listening to the music that is being played there.

I recently moved to the area and called Houghton Family Dental Care since my old crowned tooth was in so much pain. I was seen immediately and I had my first ever extraction today.... I was scared out of my mind but Shazim Fayyaz Ashraf and Angel eased my mind and the procedure was pretty painless. I'm at home and feeling great. I think I'll make this my new dental home. Thank you guys for being so kind, understanding, and easy to work with!
