Permanent teeth will begin to grow around age 6, and except for wisdom teeth, are all present between ages 12 and 14. The next teeth to grow in are the 12-year molars and finally the wisdom teeth. Wisdom teeth typically begin breaking through from age 17 and on. The total number of permanent teeth is 32, though few people have room for all 32 teeth. This is why wisdom teeth are usually removed.

Your front teeth are called incisors. The sharp fang-like teeth are canines. The next side teeth are referred to as pre-molars or bicuspids, and the back teeth are molars. Your permanent teeth are the ones you keep for life, so it is vital that they are brushed and flossed regularly and that periodic check-ups by a dentist are followed.

Our daughter received excellent services through Horsley Orthodontics. If we did not PCS we would have continued her treatment through this office. For those individuals that are DOD civilians who PCS do not place your children in damon braces. Not all locations you PCS to recommend or provide that treatment. Go with traditional braces.

I can't say enough amazing things about Horsley Orthodontics! I've had my braces there, as has my daughter. My two boys are currently in treatment. It is a different experience with Dr Horsley and his crew, Dr Frandsen and Dr Riley! They create these amazing, wide smiles! They don't just make your teeth straight, they are making sure your bite is perfect, they contour your gums to fit your smile which is added in your treatment. You can't find that anywhere else! And their staff is exceptional. They are always happy, making sure you leave with a smile on your face. It's a 5 star experience. A huge shout out to Brylie and Abi! They took exceptional care of my boys today and made sure to check in with me after the appointment to make sure the boys were doing ok. Five stars all around, Horsley Orthodontics!

Horsley is wonderful! Everyone we have worked with has been positive, encouraging and kind. My son has anxiety but they are very patient with him, and as a mom I am thankful for that as they try to make it a positive experience for him. And goodness it's working because his teeth are doing so good!! We love the massage chairs and cookies too.

Horsley Orthodontics is great! I would recommend them to anyone. They are always so friendly and treat you in a way that says, "we really do care about you and we are going to treat you right". They do excellent work. My teeth are still very straight and it's been 8-10 years since I had my braces removed. They want to know how they can make your experience better and then they do it. Once my permanent retainer glue wore off and they fixed it. When I was getting my braces on I started gagging towards the end and they said we could put the remaining braces on a short time later if that would be better for me. They want their patients to have the best experience possible and they make it happen.

I would give the place 5 stars, but the reception ladies don't wear facemasks properly over their noses!

I had braces when I was a teenager and have always been faithful at wearing my top retainer. My top teeth have not budged. I have one tooth on the bottom that has moved because of a broken permanent retainer. I've talked to multiple orthodontist about getting it fixed. They all said my top teeth do not need any work. However, Horsley Orthodontics was very pushy about getting both top and bottom braces. What they quoted me was double the cost of other orthodontists because they wanted to put braces on top and bottom instead of just the bottom. Because of this I can't help but question their integrity in trying to get a few extra thousand dollar. I'm not saying they're not good at what they do. I'm not saying they don't have a friendly staff (they were very friendly). I'm just saying integrity is important to me and I wouldn't feel comfortable doing business with a company that I feel is not being completely honest.
