Dr. Kevin Horner grew up in Hudson, SD and attended the University of South Dakota where he majored in Chemistry earning his Bachelor of Science degree in 1978. Dr. Horner received his Doctoral degree in Dental Surgery from Creighton University in Omaha in 1982 and completed his orthodontic residency at Saint Louis University graduating with a Master of Science degree in Orthodontics in 1984. He started his solo practice in Sioux Falls in 1984 and has practiced with his daughter, Dr. Keri Barrow, since 2011.
Dr. Horner is a member of the American Dental Association and the South Dakota Dental Association. Dr. Horner is a past president of the South Dakota Dental Association. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), the Midwestern Society of Orthodontists (MSO) and a past president of the South Dakota Society of Orthodontists. He has been a director for Delta Dental of South Dakota and a director for the Midwestern Society of Orthodontists. He is also a past MSO representative on the AAO Political Action Committee. Dr. Horner is Board Certified and holds the title of Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Horner and his wife, Susan, have three daughters, three sons-in-law, and eight grandchildren. Dr. Horner loves spending time with his family, lake time in the summer, hunting in the fall, and traveling all year round.
Dr. Keri Barrow earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Biology, 2004, from the University of Kansas and her Doctoral degree in Dental Surgery, 2008, from Creighton University. In 2010, Dr. Barrow completed a residency at Saint Louis University, graduating with a Master of Science degree in the specialty of orthodontics.
While in residency, Dr. Barrow was a member of the Washington University Cleft Lip and Palate Team. Additionally, her graduate research thesis has been published in the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.
Along with various alumni associations, she is a member in good standing of many professional organizations such as the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), and the South Dakota Dental Association. Dr. Barrow is a past president of the Southeastern District Dental Society and past co-director of Sioux Empire Smiles. She is also the director of the Midwestern Society of Orthodontists and the Secretary-Treasurer for the South Dakota Society of Orthodontists. Dr. Barrow is Board Certified and holds the title of Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.

For the past 18 years, Val has greeted patients at Horner Barrow Orthodontics with her warm, bubbly personality. She is very knowledgeable about orthodontics because she has over 32 years of orthodontic office experience. Her favorite part of her job is getting to know the patients and their families. She also loves seeing the beautiful smiles once the braces are removed. Val is an animal lover and in her free time enjoys spending time with her husband, Al, children, and grandchildren.
Kelsey grew up in Watertown, SD, and graduated from Lake Area Tech. in 2008 with her dental assistant degree. With 7 years of assisting in a general dental office, she was excited to change to orthodontic assisting in 2015. Kelseys main role at Horner Barrow Orthodontics is working in the front as one of our receptionists. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Kris, and their two daughters, Jayla and Jori. She loves reading, watching movies,and spending time outdoors.
Megan grew up in Sioux Falls before bouncing around the globe for a number of years. Now back at home, she is excited to join Horner Barrow Orthodontics and be a part of the team that helped create her smile! In her free time Megan likes hiking and camping, loves traveling and enjoys listening to country and oldies rock.
Jolene joined the team at Horner Barrow Orthodontics 21 years ago. She graduated from Minnesota West Community and Technical College in Canby, MN with her dental assistant degree. At Horner Barrow Orthodontics, Jolene fills two roles as a chairside assistant and treatment coordinator. She loves watching patients find confidence and happiness with their beautiful new smiles. When not working, Jolene enjoys spending time with her two sons, Lincoln and Lunden.
For nearly 18 years, Kylie has been a team member at Horner Barrow Orthodontics. She graduated from Southeast Community College in Lincoln, NE with her dental assistant degree. With her enthusiastic personality, she enjoys meeting our patients and watching the awesome changethat they experience from their orthodontic treatment. Afterwork, you can find Kylie spending time outdoors with her husband, Matt, their two sons, Evan and Bennett.
Lacy graduated from Lake Area Tech. in Watertown, SD with her dental assistant degree and joined Horner Barrow Orthodontics in 2013. She loves the positive reaction she sees from our patients when they get their braces off and see their new smiles. Lacy enjoys spending time with her husband, Austin, and their daughter, Lennox, and their two dogs.
Kendra has been a team member at Horner Barrow Orthodontics for 6 years. She is from Chancellor, SD, and graduated from Lake Area Tech. in Watertown, SD with her dental assistant degree in 2014. Her interest in orthodontics was inspired by her own braces experience and she enjoys helping patients gain confidence by making their smiles beautiful. Outside of work, Kendra enjoys spending time with her husband, Tyler, daughter, Mila, and son, Tucker.
Jamie is from Brandon, SD, and has been a team member of Horner Barrow Orthodontics for 5 years. She attended Lake Area Tech. in Watertown, SD, and graduated with her dental assistant degree in 2015. She became interested in orthodontics from her wonderful experience with braces from Horner Barrow Orthodontics. Jamie loves helping patients gain confidence by improving their smiles. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family and her dog, Ace.
Marissa is from Sioux Falls, SD. She graduated from Minnesota West Community and Technical College in Canby, MN with her dental assistant degree and joined Horner Barrow Orthodontics in 2018. When not working, Marissa enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, Dillon.

As a thirty-something looking to fix my teeth, I'm glad I found Horner Barrow Orthodontics. Everyone told me they're the best orthodontist in Sioux Falls, and after 21 months in braces I can confirm this was my experience. Everyone on staff is friendly and did a great job with answering any questions I had and making sure my treatment went as smooth as possible. I especially appreciated Dr. Horner's expertise and his devotion to detail. Now I have a new smile, and I have Horner Barrow Orthodontics to thank for this!

We are so over the top happy with how our daughter's teeth turned out. She smiles all the time when before she wouldn't even smile. We love how she was greeted and treated every time she went in for her appointments. They were very thorough during each visit and have great advise when needed. All 3 of my boys haven been a patient of Dr. Horner. He is very good at explaining what they need to do to keep their mouth clean. Him and his staff also makes them aware of other things that they have to do to make sure that they make progress throughout their time with braces. Everyone in the office always welcomed us!

I just recently got my braces on at almost 30 years old. Horner Barrow was very fast and efficient from the start. Within a month, I got my top braces on and even had teeth pulled in-between that time. Putting the braces on took way less time than I was expecting too. 10/10 would recommend! :)

The people here give the best care. They are personable and genuine with their clients. It is also fun to see that they appear to enjoy working together as well! I even had surgical work done and they reached out after to see how I was doing. It's great working with Horner Barrow Othodontics.

We have been incredibly pleased with the orthodontic care both of our children have received. One is just about done and the other has just started his journey. We even commute an hour and a half to the main office because their level of care was far superior to our local providers. Thank you for your outreach clinic as well for in between appointments and always being so kind and helpful. We can't imagine going anywhere else.

I believe a person's smile is truly the best gift you can give them for life. They have flexible payment plans which made it possible to give all four of my children great smiles, myself included. Just got braces removed off of kid number 3. It's the best orthodontist place to go.

I loved my experience at Horner Barrow Orthodontics and how helpful and how they were willing to work with me! I got my braces my freshman year of college, so not the traditional time to get braces, but they worked around my school schedule and were willing to answer any of my questions! I absolutely love my smile now and only have great things to say about my experience!

From what they told me, my daughter is one of the more difficult cases. Things are not perfect but I also understand the limitations and the difficulty in her case. I can tell you that if you talk with tme, they will work with you to make it the best experience possible. I can also say that my niece had the same issues with her teeth and did not have a great as experience with a different orthodontic place. Thank you for making us feel welcomed and important in everything you do!

Dr. Horner and his staff are amazing! They walled us through the orthodontic experience with knowledge and patience. We were always greeted and it felt like everyone knew us! My daughter had a lot of complicated needs and her smile turned out beautifully! We are forever grateful for this experience! Dr. Horner did my orthodontics as well 20 years ago and we were not disappointed either time!

Dr Horner is amazing! Although I thought I wanted "invisalign," he explained how much happier we would both be if I agreed to conventional braces at my " non-traditional" age for being a braces patient. I am still in the early stages but already amazed at the transformation. He is a skilled artist and I am very impressed! Thank you for talking me into the right decision for my situation.
