Digital X-rays offer a huge advantage in early detection and preventive services. Advanced image manipulation and analysis, for example, allows your doctor to detect early stages of gum disease through recognition of bone level changes, or by evaluating the results against a previous treatment.
An intraoral camera is an indispensable diagnostic and educational tool. The tiny video camera moves around inside of your mouth and generates a tooth by tooth video exam of your teeth. Using an intraoral camera allows patients to better understand their dental needs by seeing what the dentist sees and then having it explained.
Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. As you heal, the tissue reattaches to the bone and your gums return to a healthy infection-free state.

Had my first treatment with them today, the ladies in the front are very nice and helpful. Alex, the hygienist was also very pleasant. He answered all of my 87 questions with patience and plenty of details, and handled my teeth with lots of care. I appreciate you guys.

This is a great place to go take care of your teeth. The team was very professional examining and providing with solutions by priority. I have a lot of work to be done and Dr. Erps is doing a great job, I feel that I am in good hands. All the people here were very gentle and kind to me. They explained very well what was going on. I had my routine 6 months cleaning, Horizon Modern Dentistry is a very professional place, from the time you get in the door, office staff are very welcoming and friendly, the place is very clean, my experience was nothing but excellent with taking X-rays to cleaning by Mr. Alex, he is one of the best hygienist that I have met, his knowledge and skills are excellent.

My first appointment was today for x-ray's and a cleaning. Let me just tell you this office and people are totally AWESOME!!!! Michelle, my hygienist, very personable and treated me like I was her only patient. Dr. J, totally awesome too. Very knowledgeable with a wonderful personality. Rose Linda, office manager, BANG!!! Paperwork done and ready to go!! The entire staff is great!!!!

Michelle, the dental hygienist and Dr. Erps are professional, kind and gentle. They both explain the procedures as they are performing them. It eased my anxiety tremendously. Best and most trustworthy, efficient, understanding, cost conscious, friendly, and effective dentist and dentist office I have ever been to in my 50 years! I first came to Dr. Kim and Horizon Modern Dentistry six years ago and am so pleased that I did! I consider Dr. Kim a dental artist. He takes such pride and care in his work along with his patients' dental health! His longtime office manager - Rosa - keeps everything in the office running smoothly and I have never once had a billing issue or insurance misquote. Everyone who works there is so kind, professional, attentive, and good at their job. I feel really lucky to have found such a trustworthy dentist and office!!

I love this office and their staff! I used to live down the street when I first starting going here and now live in the east valley. I tried switching to a place near my new house but wasn't impressed. They are worth the 45 min drive! I recently had my teeth cleaned by Michelle and she was so thorough yet efficient. She was really friendly and sweet and I like that she explained everything she was doing. I will definitely go back to Michelle for my future cleanings!
