Sure glad I listened to my grandson when he recommended my seeing his dentist. I was trying to find a dentist that could help me with dentures as I have a lot of medical issues. I'm so pleased with the caring that Dr Z and his staff have shown me. They have worked with my medical doctors to assure that everything would go great with the removal of my teeth. If you have any questions or issues , they're ready to help you.

I was Dr. Zs patient about 4-5 years ago and he helped me through a lot of dental issues that had compiled over the years. I am petrified of the dentist but he was so genuine and understanding, that he made the process a million times more tolerable. We built a plan and after a few months we had addressed all the major issues and began to work on some of the smaller things. I moved back to Florida and have not been able to find another dentist that shows anywhere close to the same amount of interest or investment to the progression of fixing the big picture. He and his office staff and hygienists are all quite wonderful.

There has been a rumble in my head for a number of months now. It is all because of a sour feeling I have about the dental work I obtained at Horizon Dental that started over a year ago. Dr. M and his staff also are all very pleasant and nice people I think. But the long and the short of it is that I paid for 4 mini implants on my lower dentures and after about a half dozen tries they still do not fit properly. I believe it is because Dr. M probably is not fully trained to gauge the placement at the start. Or it might be that the old man in the back room has done a poor job of alignment of inserts into molded dentures in my case. In my final analysis it means I will have to find another dentist to make things right. For right now my lower denture plate remains quite loose and I continue to eat only soft foods. Of the four implants maybe one or two are doing some partial good and 2 others not at all; at least that's the way it feels. I made the same complaint over and over again each time I drove all the way to Georgetown to have another adjustment. The sad part of it is that when I first signed on I suggested then that just two implants might do the job. Now I feel that alignment of 2 would not be hard to do it all, and it would probably provide a more snug fit than what I have now. Perhaps the blame lies with me to choose a dentist to provide implants at a much lower cost than I had been quoted by another dentist in Austin. But that example may not be fair because the Austin dentist I spoke with taught implant dentistry to other dentists and performed work on governors and congressman and such. I am on a rather tight budget and I guess the main reason for my comments here is to alert other folks on a tight budget to be more careful.

I found this dental office after leaving a long time dentist in Austin and after trying another dentist in Georgetown that was unsatisfactory. This office is thorough and professional. Doesn't seem like they are trying to sell services or products.

Dr. Mughrabi is incredibly knowledgable and honest. The office is very clean and up to date. I got an implant from awful surgeon, it got pus-infected, I was incredibly sick. I went to 5 Oral Surgeons looking for guidance. Dr. Mughrabi checked me free of charge, advised to let the bone heal, and come back in four months for procedures. He didn't force me to come back asap and his prices are at better rates compared to other dentists I've seen!

I have weighed if to or not to tell my story about my experience at Horizon Dental or not. I decided to since the experience is true and did happen. Back in 2018 . I went to Horizon . I had not seen a dentist in 20 years and had multiple dental issues. I was examined around the same time and a dental plan was set into motion. I got a total of 2 visits as on the second visit the hygienist at the time said I was "Too far gone" and that a deep cleaning and the following treatments would not save my teeth or get me healthy. I had already undergone 2 quads in cleaning and was in the process of getting the other two done. This was also after the dentist had ensured I would receive treatment. After she said that the dentist was brought in and I was told they would not complete my treatments. (I thought the dentist made that call not a hygienist?) So in a nut shell I was told to find some other office and specialist. And that I would have to have 80% of my teeth pulled. They did not complete my quad and I was told to leave. I eventually found a dentist and got a treatment plan and now two years later I still have ALL my teeth and I have good dental health. It is so disheartening to go to someone for help and have them turn you away. It seems I guess they either saw me as beyond their medical skill to help even some or as not worth their time and I was in effect,"left to my own devices." That is ok. I beat the odds and I have a great smile now with out the help of Horizon dental. This might be a good office if you walk in with a movie star smile but for people like me, it is best you don't waste your time to just get treated subhuman, and left to "die". Just thought people should know my experience here

My regular dentist was afraid to attempt the extensive cosmetic updating and repairs that I needed - basically my entire front smile, so he sent me to meet with Dr. Z. The entire office is FANTASTIC. They made me feel at ease from the start, and were extremely patient and caring through the entire process. Nikki and Dr. Z are exceptionally excellent providers. I am so thankful to have found them! I could not be happier with the final product.
