Dr. Horbaly has practiced orthodontics in Charlottesville since 1996, with satellite offices located in Palmyra and Dillwyn. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and his doctorate degree from the Medical College of Virginia. Dr. Horbaly completed a general practice residency at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Oakland, California and two additional tours with the Seabees. Dr. Horbaly earned his master's degree and specialty certification in pediatric dentistry from the Columbus Children's Hospital and The Ohio State University, and earned a master's degree and specialty certification in orthodontics from the University of Pittsburgh.
In addition to his private practice, Dr. Horbaly is an Assistant Professor of Orthodontics at the University of Virginia Health Systems Department of Dentistry where he mentors dental residents and is a member of the University's Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Team. At the University clinic, Dr. Horbaly provides orthodontic services for cleft lip and palate patients, patients with craniofacial disorders and medically compromised patients.
Dr. Horbaly served eight years in orthodontic leadership positions and is a past president of the Virginia Association of Orthodontists and past Director for the Virginia Component of the Southern Association of Orthodontists. He is also a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association and the Medical College of Virginia Orthodontic Research and Education Foundation.
Outside the office, we are parents, community volunteers, and fun-loving individuals from Charlottesville, Earlysville, Dillwyn, Palmyra, Augusta, Greene, and Nelson counties.
