Dr. Hoppens became interested in pursuing a career as an orthodontist during his own orthodontic treatment as he observed how science, technology, and artistry combined to create a healthy, happy smile in addition to the special relationships his orthodontists created with his patients and their families during their orthodontic treatment and orthodontic retention.

Dr. Hoppens has been practicing orthodontics since 1985.He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, which was founded in 1929 as the first specialty board in dentistry. The American Board of Orthodontics (ABO) is the only orthodontic specialty board recognized by the American Dental Association (ADA) and in affiliation with the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO).

Dr. Hoppens received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree graduating Magna Cum Laude and with High Distinction from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Following his graduation from dental school, Dr. Hoppens continued his education at the University of Iowa in the Orthodontic Residency program, where he earned his Master of Science (MS) degree and Certicate in Orthodontics.

Dr. Mary Beth Meier began practicing orthodontics in 2014. She was drawn to the field because of the science, technology, and artistry involved in creating healthy, happy, smiles. For her, seeing a happy patient after completing treatment is the most exciting thing about her work.

Dr. Meier attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she graduated with high distinction in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. After college, she attended the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, where she received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2012. Following graduation from dental school, Dr. Meier continued her education at the University of Iowas Orthodontic Residency program, where she earned her Master of Science degree and Certicate in Orthodontics.

Dr. Meier is an Ogallala native, born and raised. Along with creating natural-looking healthy happy smiles, Dr. Meier is a loving wife and mother who also enjoys baking, playing the piano and harp, gardening, live classic rock concerts, helping her husband David, who is an endodontist (root canal specialist), and spending time with her husband and children.
