Dr. Mike Hopkins is a leader in general dentistry and restorative dentistry. He is in private practice in Dunedin, Florida. His practice specializes in general dentistry, cosmetic and restorative dentistry. Dr. Mike is also an expert in treating TMJ dysfunction. Dr. Mike has extensive experience in the treatment of Craniomandibular disorders, TMJ orthopedics and reconstruction therapy.
Dr. Mike graduated with honors from West Virginia University School of Dentistry in 1976. He has been serving the greater Dunedin community since 1977, where he has raised his two children. Dr. Mike has been an active member of Kiwanis and other community groups. Besides providing the highest quality care to his patients, Dr. Mike has also traveled abroad and donated his dental skills to the citizens of less fortunate countries. He has helped the needy in Haiti, Bosnia, the Dominican Republic and Peru. Currently Dr. Mike is looking forward to his next trip, where he will once again be part of a team of specialists donating their dental services in Peru. He received the American Dental Association Award for Foreign Service for the many hours he has donated to serving others abroad.
On December 8, 2018, the Rotary Foundation International awarded Dr. H. Mikel Hopkins a Paul Harris Fellow recognition. Dr. Hopkins received this award for his continuing work with the people of Peru. Dr. Hopkins has been to Peru seven times on dental mission trips sponsored by the Rotary Club of Seminole Lake.

Although I was a bit surprised that Lisa no longer cleaned teeth at Dr. Mike's, I was happy to hear that Lisa works elsewhere, as well as having numerous other questions answered by the new "Teeth Cleaner," Karen, who, in actuality, has assisted Dr. MIKE for a number of years, off an on!

Do not get root canals from any general dentist. Always go to an endodontist. I've had nothing but problems after having root canals from this person.

Dr. Hopkins and his team at Hopkins Reconstructive Dentistry are truly incredible. We have tried several dentist in the area and they are by far the best. It is easy to make an appointment; you are always greeted with a positive attitude and smile; the dental work is flawless; and they clearly explain every procedure and cost in advance.

I am SO thankful that someone referred me and my family to Dr.Hopkins and his awesome team over a year ago!!! He is the most honest, caring and helpful dentist that I have EVER been too.... I have had crowns, fillings, cleanings and a root canal with them (yes, I have spent tons of $$ on my teeth-but some of my issues are due to terrible dentists in my past) and have been extremely satisfied with every visit!!!

I found my forever Dentist. Dr. Mike may be the best dentist I have ever had and I hate Dentists. His staff is awesome. My hygienist was spectacular. I needed a deep cleaning which terrified me. Dr. mike made sure I felt NOTHING. After the cleaning, he used a laser to strengthen my gums which are in bad shape. I have a few more appointments to go but am sure Hopkins will have me smiling in no time. Hats off, Doc!
