Our treatment philosophy is to provide conservative, comprehensive, and cosmetic dentistry that is tailored to each patient's individual needs.
Dr. Carter was born and raised in the small town of Elliott, SC where his parents owned and operated their own music label Ripete Records. Coming from a long bloodline of Clemson Alumni, it was no surprise that he attended Clemson University himself. He graduated from Clemson with a degree in Pre-Professional Health Studies in May 2007 and went on to attend the Medical University of South Carolina for dental school. He graduated from MUSC in May 2011 and immediately began associateships in Anderson and Abbeville.
Dr. Carter spent many months looking for the perfect location for his own dental office. His goal was to find a location with a neighborhood feel, while being convenient to those commuting to daily jobs and other activities. He already knew he enjoyed the people and community in Anderson, and the location he chose off of Hwy 81 stood out to him as the perfect home for his new office.Hopewell Family Dentistry was founded in February 2013.
While attending Clemson University, Dr. Carter met his wife Carly. She was raised in Greenville, SC and also attended MUSC. Carly is currently a Speech Therapist at Anmed Hospital. Dr. Carter and Carly have two children, Banks(2013) and Georgia(2016), that they love with all their hearts. They live nearby in Anderson and are members of Central Presbyterian Church.
Nichole is an Anderson native and attended Concorde Career Institute in Jacksonville, Florida, to earn her dental assisting certification. She joined us in 2014 and truly enjoys our patients and our team.
Dana grew up in Williamston and now lives in Easley. Dana was a patient of the practice before she joined as a team member. We were very excited to add Dana as an additional patient care coordinator in June 2021. When not at work, she enjoys reading a good book and spending time with her husband and family.
Sabrina grew up in Liberty and now lives in Easley. She graduated from Palmetto School with her degree in expanded duties dental assisting. When not at work, Sabrina enjoys spending time with her husband and two children and going camping. Sabrina joined our practice in 2018.
Dee graduated from Tri-County Technical School in 1992 as an expanded duty dental assistant and a minor in business management. Dee has 20 years of dental assisting experience. In her free time, Dee enjoys crafting and spending time with her grandson. Dee joined our practice in 2020.
When we can help a patient turn their oral health around or improve how they look, we feel a great sense of satisfaction in what we do. Many patients come to us a little timid about dentistry or embarrassed about how much they have let their teeth and gum health go, but our professional and kind team immediately puts them at ease.
Replacing missing teeth is important to us because we know having a healthy and comfortable smile allows you to enjoy all the great foods available here in the South. We offer dental implants, fixed dental bridges, and dentures, depending on your preference and your health.
Dr. Carter is skilled at root canals, dental implants, and extractions even wisdom teeth. He made it a priority to gain experience in all these areas so that we can treat most dental conditions right here in our Anderson dental office, where you feel most comfortable.

Wonderful experience! Everyone was excellent! They went out if their way to help me feel comfortable and calm! I deal with anxiety from past procedures but Hopewell Dentistry has changed all of that and now I look forward to my next cleaning.
