Dr. Michael Hoover, born and raised in Omaha, is an alum of St. Robert's Elementary School, Creighton Preparatory School, Creighton University (BS-88), and Creighton School of Dentistry (DDS-'93). Before entering private practice in 1994, he completed a one year dental residency at UNMC/VA. From 1994-2000, he also worked as an adjunct clinical instructor at Creighton Dental School. Dr. Michael enjoys private general dentistry practice, caring for the generations of patients who come to Hoover Dental.
Dr. Sarah Osborne is an alum of the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry (DDS-19) in San Francisco, CA. Born and raised in Northern California, Dr. Osborne saw a wonderful opportunity to move to Omaha for a one year dental residency at UNMC, which she completed in 2020. Having fallen in love with Omaha, she is excited to establish herself as a general dentist here and looks forward to building a career helping patients in this community.

My 4 brothers and I have been going here since we can remember. Never had a bad experience, the people are all very friendly, and Dr. Hoover is amazing at what he does.

I did a lot of work to see Dr. Hoover. Had all my records transferred to him....dealt with my insurance to see how much they would pay...waited weeks for an appointment. All for a simple crown over an implant. Got there and within 5 minutes he realized he did not have the right tool to do the job. A dentist for 30 years and he doesn't have the right tool. Had to order it and suddenly all my work was for nothing. With all my X-rays and scans from several dentists, you would think he would have known what to expect. But he obviously had not done this procedure before. Good thing I got out of there when I did. Shocking the people they allow to be dentists these days.

Hoover Dental feels like family, and they give you quality care and attention. The hygienists deserve a special shout out but the whole staff is wonderful. These days, it's really nice to see the same faces every time you go in for care. Five stars.

I have been going to this place for couple months already and I love it. Parking lot is a little struggle sometimes but I have no problems. Very comfortable place.

Hoover Dental has provided dental care for our family for more than 20 years. It's rare--in any industry--to find a team of professionals so good and so caring. I guess it's why I actually look forward to visiting every 6 months. Yep...you read that right...I look forward to visiting my dentist.

My family has been going to Dr Hoover, first the dad, now the son, for over 20 years. Feel so lucky to have such a great dentist. Only recommends that which is truly medically necessary. Good, honest people.

Dr Hoover and his associates treated be wonderful. They were careful in the treatment of a decaying tooth, they carefully examined other teeth for further treatment (Not needed). Instructed me in the proper tooth brushing technique.

No matter how long it's been since my last visit, I always feel like I was just there yesterday! Ginny and Jennifer get you checked in effortlessly and quickly while managing to be fully engaged in a sincere dialogue with whomever is front of them. I rarely wait more than 5 minutes, if that. And The care is top-notch and the concern genuine. Today Melissa cleaned my teeth meticulously, yet so gently that it was almost an enjoyable experience! Dr. Hoover treats me like I'm the only patient in building everytime I'm there (when there must be several), my questions and concerns are always given the utmost attention and respect and all of my procedures have been almost completely painless. As far as my dental experiences go, this is best place I've ever been.

I have a significant amount of anxiety about going to the dentist. I've had a few bad experiences in the past that make me weary of getting work done, and I came to Dr. Hoover needing quite a bit of work. At each visit he and his staff are incredibly patient, make sure I feel comfortable and go out of their way to make un-fun dental work as smooth as possible. Dr. Hoover will really listen to you, and he will help you reach your dental goals at your own pace. It's a lovely facility too!
