Hope has been a part of the Hood Dental Care team since 1994. As the Director of Operations, she oversees all aspects of the offices and personnel. Her 28 years of experience have taught her that nothing is more important than the people she is allowed to touch every day. Her main focus as the Director of Operations is that the overall experience at Hood Dental Care is a great one! In her spare time, she loves spending time at the beach, enjoys her church family at Healing Place Church and living a healthy lifestyle through proper nutrition and exercise. She is the mother of two grown married children, but most of all she is super blessed with four beautiful grandchildren who mean the world to her.
Raquel joined the Hood Dental Care team in August 2013. Her passion and dedication in her team and patients is her number one priority. She strives to make a personal connection with each and every person she meets. Outside of work, Raquel enjoys spending quality time with her family and her dogs. She also loves fishing, boating, and attending Saints football games. She looks forward to meeting you and helping to shape your great experiences here at Hood Dental Care.
Addie joined Hood Dental Care in September of 2017. She has 11 years dental experience and enjoys helping people regain their confidence with a beautiful smile. In her free time she enjoys kayaking, shopping, and watching LSU football and baseball. She is the mother of a wonderful son, and is married to her high school sweetheart.
Jade graduated from LSU School of Dentistry in May of 2020, with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. She intends to create a welcoming experience for her patients and provide comprehensive care in her hometown of Denham Springs. In her free time, she loves cooking and spending time with family and friends!
Caitlin joined the Hood Dental Care team as a full-time hygienist in June 2020 after graduating from LSUHSC School of Dentistry. She is passionate about providing comprehensive care while creating a positive atmosphere for all patients! In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, shopping, and listening to any and all kinds of music.
Morgan joined the Hood Dental Care team in September of 2021 as a full-time hygienist after graduating from LSU School of Dent istry . She is passionate about providing one-on-one care, establishing trust and shaping patients ideas of oral health through her care. In her free time, she loves spending time with family and friends, shopping and taking weekend trips to the beach!
Lyndsey joined the Hood Dental Care team as a full-time hygienist in November of 2021. She has been practicing dental hygiene since graduating from LSU School of Dentistry in 2019. She takes pride in making her patients feel comfortable and promoting oral health. In her free time, Lyndsey enjoys spending time with family and friends, trying new restaurants, and traveling.
Jacie joined Hood Dental Care as a full-time hygienist in February 2021 after graduating from LSU School of Dentistry. She enjoys talking with patients and helping improve their oral health. In her free time, Jacie enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and shopping.
Brenna joined the Hood Dental Care team as a full-time hygienist in June 2020 after graduating from LSU with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene. She intends to provide a comfortable and enjoyable environment for patients, while providing optimal preventive care. Brenna is a big saints fan and in her spare time she likes to go on boat rides with her family and friends.
Holly joined the Hood Dental Care team in early 2021 as the manager of the Watson location. Holly is a recent graduate from LSU and has many years of management experience. She is passionate in helping people grow and maximize their full potential. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, vacationing in Disney World, and playing the piano. Holly looks forward to serving the Watson community and ensuring our patients have an exceptional experience here at Hood Dental Care.
Allison joined the Hood Dental Care team as a full-time hygienist in June 2015 after graduating from LSU hygiene school. She is eager to continue HDCs legacy of providing patients with comprehensive and compassionate dental care in her hometown of Denham Springs. In her free time, Allison loves to shop with her mom and spend time with family and friends.
Makenna joined the Hood Dental Care team as a full-time hygienist in June 2019 after graduating from ULM with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene. She intends to create a supportive and comfortable treatment environment for patients, while providing comprehensive care. As a new wife, Makenna is learning to cook! She also loves tidying her house, playing sports, and spending time with friends and family.

After a long absence from the dentist's office due to dental anxiety, I couldn't put it off any longer due to a severe toothache. As a new patient, I was very surprised that they were able and willing to work me in a couple of hours after I first called. The staff (reception, Dr. Cantu, Brooke, Amanda, and Morgan) could not have been more accommodating, friendly, and professional. I had zero shame from them for putting my dental care off for so long. They were very understanding, uplifting, and kind and were able to do everything that needed to be done (root canal and crown) in their office that day. Thank you all for easing my anxiousness and fear and formulating a plan for success. You guys went above and beyond and I look forward to getting my dental care back on track and maintaining it for years to come at Hood Dental Care-Livingston!

Wonderful place! Dr Canthu and her staff are so kind and caring. Dental work is not one of my favorite things but they made me comfortable and talked me through the whole process. If you are looking for a great place for your dental care, this is the place for you! I highly recommend them.

I will always recommend Dr. Hood's dentist offices to everyone. Kind, friendly, and caring staff. They truly try their hardest to make it possible for you to afford dental work. The only dentist office I trust with my mouth work!!

I know everyone has some sort of fear of going to the dentist. My fear goes way beyond the visit. Several years ago I went to a dentist and had 2 root canals done. Then the nightmare began. Lets just say for 8 months after I kept getting sicker and sicker only to find out it was a bacterial infection caused from my root canals. Well 2 weeks ago I was having issues in that area of my mouth and Hood Dental was recommended by a friend. I went to the Livingston location. Even had a panic attack on my way there. The staff was AMAZING and my dentist was the absolute best one I've ever seen. The shots didn't feel like she was trying to stab my eyeballs with it. We all know when they say you might feel a little pressure but it's like they're trying to pull you out of your chair. I FELT NOTHING at all with her. She had to not only pull a tooth but bone graphing as well. I NEVER knew she was putting stitches in my mouth. Now 2 weeks later and for the first time in my life there are NO ISSUES with my dental work. She's GOOD, real GOOD! I will continue all my dental needs through them and will make the extra 15 minutes drive to get to Livingston because I TRULY TRUST this office.

Excellent! My husband had a mix-up and went to the wrong Hood dental, Livingston not only accepted him with no appointment, but they took care of him all day getting multiple things taken care of.

Everyone at the office was very professional, courteous and friendly. From my first call, Madison answered all my questions and kept me informed. Nikki handled all the initial check-in and was very thorough in explaining all the different aspects of my visit. Brenna was my Hygienist and I have to say, was the most comfortable cleaning I've ever had, Kudo's Brenna. Dr Cantu came in and reviewed everything in details. After this visit, I may not hate going to the dentist again.

The absolute best! They got me in last minute to take care of several problems I was having. The office is beautiful and all of the staff were super friendly. While I was waiting, they had blankets, Netflix, and bottled water to keep you comfortable. They really go above and beyond.

I visited Hood Dental Care- Livingston for the first time and everyone was so friendly and welcoming! It started with my conversation with Elise to make the appointment. She was amazing! She listened with a caring and compassionate ear and took the time to answer all my areas of concern. I knew that coming to this dental office was the right decision based solely on Elise! My positive experience continued with Nikki and Dr Cantu. Words can't express how comfortable they both made me feel. Their professionalism, genuine understanding and kindness was greatly appreciated. I felt from the moment I walked in like family! I would highly recommend this dental practice to anyone. Big shout out to Hood Dental in Livingston ! They were able to work me in today since my crown fell off last night while eating a seriously tiny piece of cookie cake. Go ahead and laugh it's all good lol.They got all kids taken care of and still managed to get me in and were able to use same crown as I made sure to save it lol. Helped that Amy daughter was in there to hold my hand. Yes I'm 39 and still scared of the dentist. All the kids love Hood Dental and the best Nikki K!! Thanks a bunch for a smooth dentist appointment for all us.
