Dr. Adkins is dedicated to providing excellent dental care to each and every one of her patients. She graduated from the Medical College of Georgia in 2005. Since that time, she has mentored under some of the states finest dentist, run several corporate dental practices, run her own practice and started a school for dental assisting. She has completed hundreds of hours of continuing education and continues to expand her dental knowledge beyond restorative dentistry to include some procedures in orthodontics, surgical extractions and dental implants.
In 2016, she fulfilled a lifelong ambition by acquiring ownership of both Honey Creek Dental and McDonough Family Dental from two of the areas finest dentists, Dr. Gilchrist and Dr. McMullen. Dr. Adkins practices dentistry at McDonough Family Dental which has been renamed to JSA Dental Care. Both practices offer the highest standards of dental care.
Dr. Adkins is originally from England and enjoys traveling back to the 'Old Country as often as she can. She has three children, two in college and a wonderful husband. She enjoys gardening and spending time with her family and friends.

Last week I had a dark spot appear on a front tooth and I thought it was the beginning of a cavity. I called Honey Creek Dental and was told I could come in that same day and see Dr. Adkins. When she examined my tooth she said it was a small filling that had been done in the past and part had broken off. I was so relieved, but I didn't want a front tooth to have this embarrassing spot. She offered to remove the rest of the filling and replace it right then. Dr. Adkins did a perfect job of matching the tooth to my other teeth. It looks completely natural. I couldn't be more pleased - thanks Dr. Adkins!

Thank you for such wonderful service today for my cleaning visit. Hygienist was super awesome and knowledgeable about my situation. She show much patience and care while dealing with my tooth sensitivity. My kind of hygienist! I highly recommend this office for your dental care. Very friendly and professional environment.

I really loved this office! I was telling all my friends and family about it until today when I came in.. I had an appointment scheduled out 3 months in advance @ 9:15 and they called the day before to tell me they needed to reschedule to 10am, they left a message because I was asleep. I work over night so I called as soon as they opened and said that wouldn't work, they told me that's fine and I can come before 9:15.. so I did, it's now 10am and I have yet to be seen. I just feel like I was pushed to the back for someone else. Not because an appointment ran long or anything because they pushed me back the day before without even making sure it was ok with me. The office and staff is always pleasant, but I just felt no one considered me.. the customer.

I am very disappointed in this practice. My husband came in for a cleaning last month and all he was given when coming to sign in was a covid questionnaire by your check in girl. Upon leaving, after services were rendered, the same girl advised him that the cost is $167.00 for the appointment. She failed to mention that in March you went out of network with our insurance, failed to collect this money before he went back or inform him of the amount that it will be to allow a decision to be made and this to be avoided. Upon speaking to your manager Leah, she advised that a letter was mailed informing us of this change. This letter was never received by us. She tried to collect this amount as my husband was trying to leave and accommodated us by not collecting it as he was leaving and billed the insurance first after I went back and forth on the phone with her for a few minutes explaining how this is unacceptable and how I want them to bill insurance first. I have worked in 2 dental offices myself in the billing/office area as well as specialty practices and for situations like this I believe you really dropped the ball. A person typically verifies the insurance the day before and also reaches out to the patient to inform them of changes and/or amounts that may be owed at the appointment and they definitely collect the amount due BEFORE the patient gets taken back and services are rendered. I paid this bill today but just wanted to share my experience. More language was exchanged between us on the phone but I am over your excuses and do understand how it is ultimately the patient's job to verify that the insurance but also believe that you should have done a better job given the fact that you became out of network with the insurance in March which is out of the ordinary. It is a major slap in the face and I see that you do not value your relationships with your patients. I hope you do a better job so you don't encounter someone aggressive next time you drop the ball. Also the cleaning and exam was definitely not worth this money, I could think of 3 dental offices that are a bit further away that give much better cleanings, the staff is nice and that is what you have going for you. Had going for you.

For 5 years this was a dentist,until this march 15,I went to my regular cleaning and the hygienist treated me very contemptuosly,and wanted that I did not need.I do not recommend it now they are abusive....

I've only been going to see Dr. G for about a year. But from the very first visit, I was met with the most friendly, sweetest staff from the moment I walked in. Dr. G is absolutely phenomenal! He's the most gentle dentist I've ever been to. He constantly asks if you're okay and to let him know if you need anything. Erica, his assistant, is as sweet as can be. I feel like family when I walk in.

Very very nice and professional people! They made very good recommendations to help with discomforts we were having and we're just extremely pleasant to be around! Sandy was our hygienist and she did a very good job and was very nice! Definitely would recommend to anybody and everybody!

Dr. G and his team really gave me my confidence back, and fixed what another dentist did wrong. I've been having dental issues since 2014 due to cancer treatments and radiation. In 2018 I went to a chain dentist group and the experience was traumatizing so much so that I never went back to any dentist since, not even for routine cleaning. The pain I was experiencing began to get too intense for me to do my daily routine. I sucked up my fear and made an appointment with Dr. G. From the moment I walked into the practice I I INSTANTLY felt safe, and cared about it. Sandy and Mandy are so warm and welcoming, full of information, very personable. I literally cried when Dr. G told me how much damage I had, and Sandy instantly embraced me and told me "We're going to take care of you", and I believed her. Dr. G is very gentle but thorough, he talks to you throughout the visit, informing you exactly what he's doing. They actually LISTEN to your concerns! This practice isn't even in network for me with my insurance, but I don't care! I've finally found my dental home!

Positive experience Just completed a treatment with Dr Gilchrist today. Despite the fact that we one of the two fillings he'd performed was more complex than anticipated my overall experience was virtually pain free. Dr Gilchrist was very meticulous in treating the affected tooth and sensitive to my discomfort level and even had a prescription called into my pharmacy when I called back with a concern a hour after leaving. The staff is also very friendly and effective. Daniel was great today and hygienists Sandy and Sherry were both awesome during previous visits. The one caveat is that they are no longer in network for my plan. Other than that I recommend them 100%.

Absolutely awesome experience! Pulled a broken tooth and it was a painless awesome experience. Never in my life have I had a dental visit go so well. Looking forward to getting all my teeth fixed now. Would highly recommend Honey creek dental.
