Dr. Kunkel was raised in Anderson, SC, and earned his bachelors degree in chemistry with multiple general and departmental honors from Clemson University in 2010. He went on to obtain his doctorate in dental medicine with honors from the Medical University of South Carolina. His training at MUSC led to several awards and cutting-edge experience with CEREC and other modern technologies, culminating in presentations at dental conferences in South Carolina and Tennessee. He engages with ongoing continuing education to ensure the most modern care for his patients.
Whitneyis a graduate of TL Hanna High School. She attended Greenville Technical College for general studies and Tri-County Technical College where she received her diploma in Expanded Duty Dental Assisting. She is certified in Radiation and Nitrous Oxide Sedation/Monitoring. She has 15years of dental experience, and has lived in Honea Path with her husband and two children since 2005.She is a member of Chiquola Baptist Church, and enjoys spending time with her family and attending sporting events. Whitney feels blessed to be a part of the Honea Path Family Dentistry team.
Leah was born and raised in Honea Path. She received her degree in Dental Hygiene from Greenville Technical College and holds nitrous oxide and local anesthesia administration certifications. She enjoys learning new techniques in dental hygiene that will equip her to better educate her patients. Leah has a passion for making her patients feel comfortable in the dental chair as well as educating them on the importance of their oral health. Her goal is that every patient leaves with a positive experience and a bright, healthy smile! Leah enjoys spending time with her husband, traveling, antique shopping and Clemson football games.
Dana officially became a part of our team in 2013, andwas raised and now resides in Belton. She enjoys working near her hometown where she gets to see so many familiar faces. She says that she looks forward to the opportunity to meet new patients and assist them in maintaining their dental health with routine cleanings and exams. Dana is thankful to be a pat of our team of professions that truly care about the patient's dental needs.
Deena graduated from Belton-Honea Path High School. She has 21 years of customer service experience and 5 years of dental experience. She received her X-ray certification provided by Honea Path Family Dentistry, through Greenville Technical College. She is committed to extending her knowledge in the dental field. She feels blessed to be a part of the Honea Path Family Dentistry's team.
Deena is married and lives in Honea Path. She enjoys outdoor activities with her husband, reading books, and spending time with her Golden Retriever and Chocolate Lab. She has been a member of Shady Grove Baptist church for 30 years where she helps with the children activities.

Ridiculous! Office hours for Tues are supposed to be 7am-3pm. My kids had an appointment for 9:30am. We got there at at 9am and was there about 15 min calling the office # and knocking on the door. The door was locked & lights all off so we left.. After 9:30 i tried calling again to reschedule and was told they "decided to come in late today" and i couldn't reschedule my kids. Because of a missed appointment, BUT WE WERE THERE. They should let people know when they "decide" to come in late!!!!

The office staff is very friendly and professional. The hygienist that cleaned my teeth was very gentle but thorough. I have been very pleased with all of my appointments and the services they have provided. I have had to schedule or reschedule appointments for my family on several occasions and they were very accommodating every time!

I live visiting this office! The environment alone is so relaxing. The family treats you like staff. The ladies up front are always so kind and smiling. Dr. Kunkel and Dr. Brunson are so nice and easy going. I really feel like I am not being judged when going to have work done unlike most dentist offices. I definitely recommend them to everyone.

Great experience every time I have a visit. Dr. Brunson is phenomenal along with all of the staff. Everyone is always friendly and most know you by name. Always explains anything in depth and makes it easy to understand. Very clean environment and updated equipment.
