I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 2015. Following my graduation, I was commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Navy. I completed one year of extra training at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton where I received training on everything from simple fillings to managing acute head & neck trauma. The next 4 years were spent in Guam and California providing dental care for our countrys sailors and marines.
I am absolutely thrilled to be a part of the Homer community! In my spare time, you can catch my husband and I skiing, hiking, fishing, camping, hunting Just about everything the outdoors has to offer! When Im not busy enjoying all of the outdoors, I run a Non-Profit Organization called A Simple Smile Org. For the past 6 years, Ive organized annual dental humanitarian missions to Senegal, Africa (fun fact I lived in Senegal for a year in between college and dental school, and can speak Wolof!). We are currently working on expanding our reach to other countries and other communities in need. Check out more about the organization below!
I am originally from coastal Massachusetts, where I grew up on the water sailing and fishing. After I graduated the US Merchant Marine Academy in 2012, I was commissioned into the US Navy as a Naval Flight Officer. My almost 9 year career mostly consisted of flying the Navys new carrier airborne early warning aircraft (its a little bit of a mouthful, I know) aka the E-2D Hawkeye. After 5 deployments, living in Japan, and flying round the US and the world, I retired from active duty service in December 2020 to help my wife, Dr. Anne Adamson, move to Homer. I currently work behind the scenes, ensuring the business side of the practice runs as smoothly as possible, implementing new processes, and helping Homer Dental Center realize its greatest potential for our patients. When Im not wrangling Lola and my wife, I spend the majority of my time fishing, hunting, skiing, spending time out on the water, flying, and pretty much anything else concerning the outdoors. We love being a part of the Homer community, and I look forward to seeing you all around the office soon.
I love my career as a hygienist! I am dedicated to providing our patients with the best care and knowledge, so that they will be able to achieve excellent oral health and overall well being. I have worked at Homer Dental Center for the past 18 years, and absolutely love the patients here. Nearly a lifelong Alaskan, I grew up in Soldotna after leaving Wisconsin at the age of 3. I received my B.A. in Biology from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN and my Associates in Dental Hygiene from North Dakota State College of Science. My free time is spent with my family and friends, taking advantage of all that the beautiful Alaskan outdoors has to offer.
I was born and raised in Homer, Alaska. I have always been passionate about dentistry and oral health. This passion led me to obtain a certification in dental assisting. Dental assisting only fueled my love for health and dentistry, and motivated me to pursue additional certification in Dental Hygiene. In 2013 I graduated from Texas Womans University with a Bachelor of Science and a major in Dental Hygiene. I have worked in the dental field both in Alaska and Texas. I love getting to know my patients and building long term relationships. It is important to me that everyone who sits in my hygiene chair feels confident and comfortable, and trusts that I am delivering the best quality oral healthcare possible. In my free time youll find me with my husband and our two sons. As a family, we spend most of our time outdoors hunting, fishing, and exploring all that Alaska has to offer.
I have been a part of the Homer Dental Center team for over 20 years. I enjoy each day working with our wonderful patients, and strive to show how important oral health care really is to everyone that walks through the door. I originally received my medical training and passion for healthcare in the US Coast Guard. After my service with the USCG, my husband and I landed in Homer over 25 years ago, where we raised four of our children. We spend our free time with our dogs and playing with our three grandsons, Kellen, Corey and Carter. When I find some time to myself, I am always eager to learn new craft projects. I particularly enjoy trying new recipes with my Klondike Gold Rush Sourdough Starter! I look forward to being the first smiling face you see when you walk in the door at Homer Dental Center!
I grew up at the head of Kachemak Bay enjoying the of glaciers and mountains as my daily backdrop. It spoiled me immensely and I have never been able to call another place home. I graduated from Homer High School in 2010 after which I completed my Associates Degree at UAA. I am currently working on my Bachelors Degree in Business Administration with a focus on Human Resources. I have been with Homer Dental Center for five years and am lucky to have such a great work family. My free time is spent with my two favorite humans: my partner Jeddia and our one year old daughter, Ruby. I enjoy gardening, preserving, harvesting and learning about the vast affray of wild plants in our Alaskan Backyards.
I was born and raised in southern California. My husbands career with the Coast Guard brought us to Alaska 9 years ago. I immediately fell in love with the beauty of this state. He has retired now and we enjoy calling this lovely community our home. I have been a dental assistant for 20 years. I find the dental field so exciting and fun, each day has brought me an opportunity to learn something new. I love interacting with patients and strive to make them feel comfortable and at ease. When Im not at work you can find me enjoying the outdoors with my family and fur babies.
I grew up in Southern California where I lived a hard life on the streets. After a short time in doggie prison I was saved by my hoomans, Dr. Adamson and Matt. While I was in California, I received my Canine Good Citizen certification, after lots of diligent studying. I even passed my test to become a Therapy Dog, but I am still working on competing my certification. I love running around on the beach, chasing squirrels, belly scratches, and treats. Even though I was born in California, I think I am an Alaskan dog at heart. Now that Im all grown up, I spend most of my days helping to keep things in order at Homer Dental Center. Its a lot of hard work, so you can often find me taking naps in the reception area or my favorite place, the bathroom. I hope to see you soon!
