Dr. Dan Harning fell in love with dentistry after volunteering at the Good Neighbor House in Dayton, Ohio. His background in mechanical engineering provides a natural fit to the mechanics of the oral cavity and engineering solutions that fit the patients need and interests. He comes to us from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry where he was recognized for his compassion and drivein providing smiles that make everyone feel genuinely happy. Since graduation, Dr. Harning joined private practice and is proficient in all aspects of general dentistry handling restorative, surgical, endodontic, and prosthodontics in the office. His well-rounded education and experience enablehim to handle the patients needs.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association, and the Cincinnati Dental Society. Keeping up with new research, best practices, and networking with other professionals means his patients tap into a knowledge base greater than just one man, they experience the best treatment the dental profession offers patients today.
Dr. Harnings career change came from a love and desire to help patients with their oral health care. He seeks and participates in opportunities for mission work local and abroad for those less fortunate.
Dr. Harning received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Dayton and later after working in manufacturing for General Motors Delphi Chassis Division, Allied Signal Fram, and Ingersol Rand Steelcraft, obtained his Professional Engineering License from the state of Ohio.
Past times for Dr. Harning are spent in country life in Gods great outdoors by working with his wife, Eunsook, in her gardening, his daughter, DahEun, and by enjoying water sports of all sorts. His son Dane has also chosen the dental profession and graduated from dental school in 2016 at Loma Linda College of Dentistry in California.

I was able to get in the same day to have my wisdom teeth removed. Everyone there was very friendly and did an awesome job to relieve my nervousness about the procedure. Would recommend this office to anyone.

I had a cracked filling on a Friday, on a holiday weekend and the extremely nice lady that answered the emergency line literally went above any and all expectations of trying to get me fixed up. I have never experienced that much kindness from a dentist office !!

Never been a fan of going to the dentist. I have awful teeth. They made me feel comfortable and was the least pain experience I've ever had. Ill definitely be going back for all my oral care.

Home Street Dental is local and close for me, which is a huge plus, but the staff are always amazing! I have a child who has severe anxiety with dental procedures and Lakin is always the best for him! Lakin, as well as the others, care about their patients and their patients comfort and experience. I'm glad ours has always been pleasant! We're lucky to have a great group of dental experts right here in Georgetown, OH!

May I just say THANK YOU! Dr Harning and his staff were so compassionate and willing to help me on a SUNDAY! I was in so much pain and from the initial telephone call to the end result after a root canal I couldn't be more happy and grateful ! Please consider this practice to call home! They really treat you with friendly and professional attitudes! I am a spaz at the dentist and they worked hard to calm my nerves. So hard to find these days! Would give a 10 star rating if I could! Will certainly keep coming back!

I love hearing everybody talk and laugh out loud. Everybody goes out of their way to help each other. What a team!! All the work I had done my mouth has been breathtaking . I love it!!!! THE BEST DENTAL TEAM EVER!!!! (emergency extraction and bone graft) **If you are considering Home Street Dental PLEASE READ** I have had issues with my teeth my entire life due to genetics in my family. I have went to many dentists in my lifetime (age 54) and have had many bad experiences due to my difficulty getting numb. I have severe anxiety going to the dentist now due to my past experiences. I had a filling fall out of a molar and it had become severely infected. I contacted the dentist I had been going to on Beechmont, only to be told I needed to have a cleaning/exam done first and then, IF the Dr had time, he would extract my bad tooth (tooth couldn't be saved). Feeling like a "number" and not a "valued patient", I decided to contact another dentist. Due to other people's comments about their experience with Home Street Dental, I gave them a call. Not only did they get me in right away, but placed their concerns on my most immediate need first!! Dr Harning and the entire staff at Home Street Dental not only took my concerns seriously, they walked me through each step of the procedure, asked if I had any questions/concerns, held my hands to keep me calm, made it as pain free as possible, but most of all TREATED ME LIKE FAMILY!!!! I even scheduled my next appointment before leaving their office, as I have FINALLY found a dentist who CARES!!! THANK YOU ALL FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART!!

Hello, I am a disabled person so I am stuck with medicaid and I am in desperate need of dental work (5 crowns and repair of incomplete root canals) so I called this Dental office today after reading on their website that Dr. Harning and I quote. " Dr. Harning's career change came from a love and desire to help patients with their oral health care. He seeks and participates in opportunities for mission work local and abroad for those less fortunate.". I thought surely (although I found no mention of the insurance accepted on their site) they would gladly accept Medicaid...well they do NOT! I just found that to be very ironic that Dr. Harning (according to his bio) is such a humanitarian, however he is not helping "less fortunate" people at his practice...Hmmmmm

I was going to a dentist on Beechmont Ave. and I have not been happy there since the Father retired. I was there in April, the dentist said everything looked good and the hygienist had to point out to the dentist that I had a cracked filling. The dentist said we will wait until you come back for your next appointment in November and check it again and we would decide at that time if I needed a crown. If yes, they would do it before the end of the year. Two weeks later I got a notice from my Dental Insurance that they had put the estimate in for a new crown without my permission. I also have issues with crown impressions and keeping temporary crowns on. Since Dr. Harning is on my Insurance Plan and does same day crowns I decided to try him out. I went on Tuesday morning for x-rays to see if I definitely needed the crown. To my surprise, his dental assistant use to work for the dentist I went to on Beechmont Ave. and I knew one of the hygienist from a previous dentist in the 1980's. I also knew I had done something else to another tooth, so I had him look at it too. I went back the same afternoon for him to decide if I needed 3 fillings or 1 filling and 2 crowns. Thank goodness all of this was on one side and they did the 2 crowns and filling the same afternoon. He explained and showed me on the x-rays why he was recommending two crowns and the one filling. They were very understanding in regards to my gagging reflexes and when I told them the numbing was wearing off. Yes, it was a long process, but it was worth it plus I didn't have the hour drive (each way) to and from the dentist office on Beechmont. I only had to go about 5 minutes from home. I was very comfortable with them and was not nervous at all. I will be returning this fall for my 6-month check-up. Thank you Dr. Harning and all of your wonderful staff.

Me and my family have been looking for a family dentistry for quite some time now, we finally found the right place that takes care of kids aswell. Dr. Daniel Harning helped my 5 year old son with his two tooth extractions and did an amazing job. The next day we also received a courtesy call to check up on our little boy from Home Street Dental. The whole experience was very comfortable and they treated us like family. They are highly professional and me and my family are blessed to have found this place. They make going to the dentist fun if you can believe that!
