Dr. Yefim Khanimov is a graduate of State University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. Before studying at State University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Khanimov attended Stony Brook University, where he earned a bachelor of science degree in biochemistry. He was an active member of the community, volunteering at local health clinics and social clubs. He was recognized for his leadership in a residence hall association and on intramural sports teams.
Dr. Khanimov has been practicing since 2004, and he loves to help his patients with their smiles. He successfully completeda general practice residency program at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, NY, where he provided family care as well as orthodontics, implant surgery, pediatric care, and treatment for oral pathologies and extreme emergencies. Dr. Khanimov received a Diploma of Completion of Advanced General Dental Education (AGDE) after he finished his residency program.
Dr. Khanimov has practiced dentistry in New Jersey and New York, where he is well known among his patients as a kind, attentive, gentle, and knowledgeable doctor. Since he began practicing dentistry, Dr. Khanimov has kept up to date on many continuing education classes in esthetic restorations, and implant placement and restorations, as well as orthodontics, including Invisalign certification. This ensures that his patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced dental care possible.
In his spare time, Dr. Khanimov enjoys spending time with his family and his pet dogs, Muffin and Lulu. Being an avid basketball fan, he enjoys watching NBA games and plays in a local recreational basketball league. Dr. Khanimov also enjoys reading, photography, drawing, and traveling.

Today I got my new crown and omg this doctor exceeded my expectations, why he is so good!!!! He even trimmed some of my teeth and my new smile looks amazing. Doctor has great bedside manners and his dentistry expertise is A1. I seriously can't thank you enough, I will be recommending everyone here!!

Horrible wait time. Sat there for over an hour to be seen by the dentist. The place is very small, only one other person was there but I was still not seen. Very unprofessional in poor communication. Will be finding a new provider.

Highly recommend this office. The staff was wonderful and courteous, there was no wait time, and Dr. Khanimov clearly explained everything he did and made me feel very comfortable as a patient.

The staff are polite, professional, and helpful. The dentist is awesome and handled my child and I with care. They do get busy, so book your appointment ahead of time.

Dr Khanimov makes sure that his patient will be pain free before proceeding . Because of my physiology numbing would not work on me and his attentiveness to this saved me from the pain I would have otherwise been subject to .

I'm very happy I found this doctor. I've been visiting them for about a year. Each visit has been quick and efficient. The space is very clean, and the doctor lets you choose music to listen to while in the chair. Or they'll have a movie playing. Everyone is very professional. I do not have a single bad thing to say. I'm enjoying my Hollywood smile!

Medicaid patients, beware of insurance scam! I recently went to see Dr Yefim Khaminov at Hollywood Smile Dental at 97-50 Queens Blv for a regular check up, cleaning and the night guard to help with grinding/deteriorating of my teeth. Upon my initial visit I was told that the night guard is not covered by my insurance and that the out of pocket cost is $400. I waited for about 30 min to be seen and the rest of the visit was unremarkable. The next day, after I called my insurance and found out that the night guard is 100% covered, I called Dr Khaminov's office and the same front desk staff said that they will send my info to billing to verify and call me back to schedule in 3 days or so. No one called back, so a few days later I called myself and spoke with a not-so-pleasant, overwhelmed receptionist who said that she doesn't see any verification in the system and can't help me as she has patients waiting and was working by herself. After I called 2 more times that day I was finally told by the receptionist and their biller/verifier Elena that my night guard was 100% covered by my insurance but the doctor still wants me to pay $350 "co-pay" for it "because my insurance pays too little"! I requested to speak with Dr Khaminov about this charge and denial of the service that is fully covered by my insurance. I left him multiple messages through his staff, but I never heard back from him. A couple of days later I called them myself and explained that participating in network providers, such as Dr Khaminov, are not allowed to charge out of pocket fee and that I have no co-pays as a Medicaid patient. After putting me on hold to talk to the dentist, the receptionist came back saying that's it is their "policy" and I have to pay $350 for getting the night guard, as per Dr Khaminov. I was done with that office after that, but, now, since I have used my annual free visit with Dr Khaminov, I would have to pay out of pocket if I want to get the night guard done at another dentist. Dear potential patient of this greedy dentist, please be smart and call your insurance yourself to verify your benefits prior to your visit. This doctor and his staff are unethical, money-hungry and have no problem neglecting their patient if their insurance doesn't meet Dr Khaminov's standards. I will never go back there again nor will I recommend this doctor to anyone. Be safe!

Dr. Khanimov at Hollywood Smile is one of the best dentists in the metro New York City area. He is polite, thorough and his office is clean and his staff is friendly. He takes most dental insurance plans and unlike many dentists, he is honest and does not overcharge patients. I had some shady dentists when I lived in Manhattan but since moving to Rego Park in Queens, I feel fortunate to have had Dr. Khanimov as my dentist for the past four years. He has done major work on my teeth, from root canals to crowns, and his rates are reasonable. I just came from having x-rays and a cleaning and once again, my dental plan covered everything and my teeth look great. He has a lot of patients so one may have to wait at times when it gets busy but otherwise, no complaints from me.

Dr Yefim and his staff are great. Dr Yefim is very professional, taking his time to explain your conditions and the necessary treatment. I had tooth extracted and it was painless. The staff is nice and attentive. The waiting time is short. I have gone to several dentist all these years and never satisfied so I will recommend Dr Yefim as your dentist.

I cannot begin to explain how much I DESPISE the dentist with a passion. Not this one. The absolute BEST and most TALENTED dentist I have ever had work on my teeth. Very friendly and considerate of his patients. Love his team and his work! Can't say he completely changed my view on dentists, I still hate the dentist, but I hate it a lot less at Hollywood dental smile. Thank you for your amazing work doctor!
