Really great dental work experience so far but the billing process is pretty terrible. Have never seen medical billing like theirs and it is very confusing. Hard to find a good dentist so probably won't switch, but probably would not have come here if I knew about how wonky their billing is.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! I have tried a few dental offices in the area trying to find the right fit and you want to talk about the WORST PLACE IVE TRIED TO DATE. They refuse to actually follow through with billing for God knows how long, then when you get the bill they try to deny your insurance exists. Send them all the supporting information you like and then they'll refuse to submit your bill through insurance properly and then threaten you. Not to mention if you have someone that needs company during their visit due to dental anxiety they will outright refuse to allow you to accompany them after stating over the phone that it would be no problem. Office staff are rude and ignorant and they literally let cavities go until they are to the point of high pain. If you ever want a quality dental team THIS PLACE IS NOT IT! Extremely unfriendly and uncooperative. Would literally red flag this place instead of star ranking if it were possible cause they are absolutely the worst office I have ever been to in my entire life.

Literally the most unprofessional office I've ever been to. Messed up my insurance paperwork and is trying to charge me 4 years later for the surgery I had. Claims 0 responsibility in the mess up.

I have always gotten extremely good service here. The doctors always detail and show me any problems, and involve me in treatment. Since I have some significant dental issues, I've seen Dr. Hoard as well as Dr. Bagheri. I think highly of both.

My husband and I were both clients of this practice from late 2013 to early 2018. After 4 years of silence, during which we moved out of state but kept our phone numbers and email addresses the same, we got a bill today out of the blue for services dating back to 2016 (the legal limit on collection of payment for dental services is 5 years from the date of service FYI). Ahead of our move in 2018, my husband picked up a hard copy of our records in person and told them we were moving; no balance was ever mentioned. In reviewing my husband's records to compare them to the billing statement sent to us today, I realized that they included someone else's medical records as part of my husband's, so we have no way to be sure whether these charges were even supposed to be assessed to him! For example, his hard copy record reflects 8 non-surgical tooth removals. My husband never had any teeth removed, surgical or otherwise, at this location. I am concerned by the billing practices that were being employed several years ago and appear to be continued to today.

They called and told my husband the wrong appointment time over the phone so he was late to his appointment, then they prescribed him an antibiotic he is allergic to and we cannot get in touch with them to fix it. He is also in extreme pain due to an infected tooth and they cannot get him in to be seen in a timely manner. They do not have an after hours emergency number and the times they are open are listed wrong they are not open on Fridays. Terrible communication and care for their patients.

Crooked billing practices. A preauthorized procedure was organized with primary insurance. I paid the remaining estimate in cash and was told I should expect a full refund once the secondary insurance was filed. Not only did that not happen but after secondary insurance paid the claim this office is billing me for an additional $1,245. And a month later nobody can explain where the $2000 difference came from nor offer any assistance whatsoever. So while the doctors were fantastic, the financial side of this practice appear to be complete crooks.

They did not make it clear to me that the type of cleaning they did to my teeth was not covered by my insurance until after they had done it. My cleanings have always been covered by my limited insurance. They did recommend I come back for a deeper cleaning which they said would not be covered. I did not understand that the initial cleaning was also not covered. These were both discussed at the same time, and it was not made clear that the "not covered" applied to both and not just the deep cleaning. This was not the type of cleaning done by scraping my teeth with a pick, but used a special tool of some kind. I'm sure it was easier for them, yet it cost me more and was not covered. They also did not seem to fully understand that even though my insurance only pays for basics like x-rays and cleanings that it is a PPO insurance, and they are a preferred provider on the list. Because they were a preferred provider in the PPO, they have agreed to accept the negotiated amounts for various services. If I had not spoken up, they were going to charge me the full amount for everything when I walked out the door, not the negotiated amounts. I explained to them, and they agreed to file the insurance (what they should do anyway) and bill me later. This saved me hundreds of dollars that they were just going to have me pay myself. I went to them because I wanted to use a dental service that was part of my PPO in order to save money. I don't plan to go back.

Amazing place! Everyone is so friendly and caring. Dr. Hoard did an amazing job removing my wisdom teeth, it went much better than I had been anticipating. I highly recommend for your dental needs.

I was very pleased to be able to schedule a same-day double extraction at Hollymead as a new patient. The staff was terrific and I was extremely impressed by Dr. Whynott - he puts his patients at ease, has a gentle approach and applies "common sense" to dental issues. I was very lucky to have found this practice!
