Dr. Holly Phillip is an Austin native, having lived in the greater Austin area her entire life except for her time at Baylor University in Waco and at Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas. She was born at St. Davids Medical Center, attended Walnut Creek Elementary in north Austin .and eventually moved with her parents and sister to a ranch in Elgin, where she graduated as valedictorian of her class.
She then headed up I-35 to Waco, where she graduated with a BA in Chemistry while gaining valuable work experience in the dental field to help put herself through college and dental school. In 1991 she obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree, graduating with several honors from the Baylor College of Dentistry.
After completing an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Baylor College of Dentistry, Dr. Phillip moved back to Austin to begin practicing dentistry as an associate in a private practice in 1992. In 1998, to better balance the needs of being both a new mom and a practicing dentist, she established her own private practice at her current location next to Eanes Elementary in Westlake Hills, where she has been helping her patients maintain healthy smiles for over twenty years now.
During those twenty years, Dr. Phillip has continually sought to advance both her skills and her expertise as a general dentist through active pursuit of continuing education that extends far beyond requirements for maintaining accreditation. She is an alumnus of the prestigious L. D. Pankey Institute, was recognized as a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry in 1998, and, in 2008 was honored at the national Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) conference as a Master of the AGD (MAGD), a prestigious designation earned by only 2% of dentists in Texas and 1% of dentists nationwide.
Dr. Phillip is also active in a local branch of the Seattle Study Club, where she collaborates with other leading dentists, specialists and lab technicians to present case studies, learn about emerging technologies, and hear of best practices and current research from national experts.
She is married to her husband Michael and has three beautiful daughters, the oldest of which just graduated from the University of Texas at Austin. She is deeply committed to her faith, a second generation member of First Austin church, and regularly contributes to mission work and helping people in need. She has been a teacher of the youth at her church for much of her adult life. She loves to sing, and studied voice at Baylor during her time there, as well.

When not creating sparkling smiles, Roxanne enjoys spending time with her son Alex and volunteering at Cocker Spaniel Rescue of Austin, where she adopted her sweet Cocker Spaniels, Tia Honey and Shiloh.

And yet, by the time we reach adulthood, researchers find that 60% of us report experiencing some degree of anxiety about visiting a dentist, with as many as 1 in 10 people exhibiting clinical dental phobia, which outranks all other tracked phobias - even fear of heights and fear of spiders (which ranked second and third, in case you were wondering!)
Studies repeatedly show that patients want experience, knowledge and skill from their dentist, and with nearly 30 years experience at the top of her profession, Dr. Phillip certainly exhibits these attributes. But we believe the real difference between good dentistry and great dentistry is building long-term relationships with our patients through establishing trust, understanding who you are, and listening to what is important to you.

Dr. Phillips worked me in on extremely short notice, after my regular dentist (who was out of town) referred me to her. She and her staff were very professional and friendly. She was good at explaining the situation about my tooth and how to provide treatment to hold me until I could see my usual dentist. They took care of the issue and sent me on my way with no hassle and a solution that seems to be doing great. Would definitely recommend.

Dr. Philip is the finest dentist I have ever gone to. She is 5 stars on every aspect of her treatment including her painless injections and superb clinical dentistry at its finest. Dr. Philips also has the nicest and best staff. Her hygienist is also as good as they get. She is so thorough, gentle, and handles her ultrasonic device and Gracey curettes to perfection (I am a periodontist and I used those instruments and the Cavitron on a regular basis.) She is way better than I ever was! Just a wonderful dentist and office, the best!

It's always good to visit Dr. Phillip's office. I've been seeing her for about 4 years. During COVID they are taking all the precautions necessary and it feels very safe. Much safer than going to the grocery store. Dr. Phillip is kind, attentive, always listens and answers all questions and concerns. I've been educated a lot about my dental health by her and she has unlimited patience. She also uses a dental lab that is very competent and that matters a lot. Because I trust Dr. Phillip I can trust her referrals (when I've needed them) implicitly. All her office staff is gracious and very kind. They will all know you by name and make you feel at home. Thank you Shelby and Roxanne! I live in Georgetown and make the drive 2 times per year. 100% worth it. It's difficult to imagine I would ever use another dentist's services.

Dr. Phillip and her team have been extremely helpful in coordinating with my periodontist for treating my gum issues, as well as fitting and adjusting a new night guard that has helped with my nighttime grinding a lot. I would highly recommend for anyone with simple needs like cleanings as well. Their imaging and analysis is also top-notch.
