Holley Family Dentistry offers an integrative approach to dentistry founded on the knowledge that dental health is intimately connected to the health of the whole person. Proper nutrition and the elimination of toxins such as mercury from the mouth are essential components of the general and cosmetic dental services. This has eliminated the need for second and third visits for cosmetic dentistry. This state of the art dentistry allows people with busy schedules to have their dentistry done in one afternoon. Dr. Holleys offices provide a full range of dental services ranging from the latest techniques to the most advanced development in the dental technology industry, utilizing digital radiography which gives instantaneous imaging that subjects patients to lower and safer levels of radiation, computerized imaging, intraoral cameras, and the highest quality materials.

At Holley Family Dentistry, we provide clear braces throughout the Portsmouth area. Straight teeth are important for your overall oral health. When teeth are crooked, they can become stained and infected more easily. By straightening teeth, we can improve your appearance and decrease the risk of getting cavities at the same time. We can also address issues that you may have with your jaw by aligning your bite. Clear braces are truly a comprehensive way and discreet way to address oral health concerns.

We understand that while many people want to have straighter teeth, many teens and adults are uncomfortable with the traditional metal braces on their teeth for more than one year. While they are not as discreet as people wish, metal braces are an effective tool for straightening teeth. The procedure works by placing a metal bracket onto the surface of each tooth and running a wire through those brackets. It is impossible not to notice when someone is wearing traditional metal braces. While the treatment works, it can also negatively impact a persons' appearance while doing so. This has led many people to seek out a better option, one that we provide.

At Holley Family Dentistry, we offer clear alternatives for adults and teens the greater Portsmouth area. We can straighten teeth and move them into the perfect position so the patient has a beautiful and radiant straight smile. If you have crooked teeth, unsightly gaps between your teeth or a misaligned bite, then we can help to correct these issues and more. Clear braces work just as effectively as metal braces but with some major improvements. Clear braces are much more difficult to notice, making them ideal for busy professionals, teens and those that do not want to negatively impact their current appearance during the process.

There are several types of clear and barely visible options to choose. One operates similarly to traditional metal braces where we place a bracket onto each tooth and thread a wire between the brackets. The difference is that instead of being made out of metal, the brackets for clear braces consists of a tooth-colored resin that blends in with the natural tooth. The wire is also tooth-colored so that the braces themselves are almost invisible and difficult to see. We find that this solution works well for teens and adults that are able to practice proper dental hygiene with the clear braces. Otherwise, food can stain the brackets. This solution is an excellent alternative to traditional braces and is just as effective at addressing all oral health concerns.

Clear braces also come in the form of aligners. Clear aligners look like a full retainer that surrounds the teeth and are worn on the upper and lower teeth. Aligners are more convenient to wear than metal braces since patients can remove them when necessary. One of the major concerns that people have with wearing braces is that they do not come off until the treatment is complete. If, for example, you get braces then decide to get married, you will either have braces in your wedding pictures or need to pay to remove them and reinstall them after. Simultaneously, if you have a big presentation at work and want to impress a client, your braces cannot come off for the meeting. This leaves many adults apprehensive about committing to a two-year treatment plan. We understand that appearance is important for more than vanity. It impacts your ability to create a professional image and retain your own self-image. As a Portsmouth provider of clear braces and aligners, we make it so that you do not have to compromise your appearance or lifestyle while straightening teeth; aligners are a key component of that.

We treat both teens and adults and understand that both can benefit from similar treatment options. While children may not be able to wear clear braces, teens can wear clear braces if they take proper care of them. The main difference between clear braces for teens and adult braces, is that teens may need to use their aligners for a longer period of time. With such a busy schedule, we expect teens to remove their aligners more frequently to do things like play sports.

An Invisalign dentist helps people who have teeth alignment issues. Many of these folks are turned off by the idea of having conspicuous metal braces in their mouth, and that prevents them from getting the treatment they need. Many would rather live with poorly aligned teeth than endure the attention braces draw to a person's

Weeeellllllll it seemed like a great place at first. The dental hygienist i had here was awesome, but don't have a dental emergency. The on call customer service is rude, an has no compassion. Next business day the office staff will contact you and pretend to care and to be investigating. Just to never call back and leave you hanging. I would not recommend this office to anyone.

I can't tell how grateful I am with Dr. Holley and his whole team. They did in just 2 days what others dentist couldn't do in months. They are very friendly, very easy to communicate with and great professionals. They are very up to date with the technology on their equipment, it makes the process a lot quicker than other places. If you need a dentist please, give this place a try and you will not regret it. I barely make reviews but I'm really amazed with the work I got done so far.

Outstanding service (reception/dental)!!! I've truly enjoyed my 10 year partnership with Holley Dentistry, they became my dentist upon my retirement from the military. Dr Holley and his staff are phenomenal; from the moment you enter the office, until you check out, you are treated with sincere effortless courtesy. (They even remember your name and ask about your family...A+) I strongly recommend Holley Dentistry for your dental care.

I was looking for a dentist for help with a pain in my gums. I went to see Dr. Holley because he was close to me and accepted walk ins. Dr. Holley took x rays and was able to diagnose that I was suffering from periodontitis. He immediately wrote me a prescription for antibiotics and pain medication. He recommend that I had my teeth removed and be fitted for dentures. His price was very reasonable and I immediately realized that he was the dentist that I was looking for. His staff was always polite and caring about my situation. I never realized that I had caused my situation by not having my teeth cleaned periodically, inwhich was my mistake. He never judged me based on the situation at hand. I'm very grateful for his expertise and knowledge of dentistry and will recommend him to anyone

Went to Doctor Holley for an emergency root canal on an abcessed tooth that was causing me terrible pain. He performed the procedure in less than 5 minutes, which was my first giant red flag. That was 3 days ago now and I've since had to be admitted to the hospital for pain 10x worse than before the root canal and swelling that caused my mouth to look like it's housing a full sized softball. The doctors are saying it's not an infection, but that somebody seriously botched my mouth up. Once the pain has finally calmed down and I've had a proper dentist work on it, I am seriously considering having to file a lawsuit for malpractice. I've never been in such terrible pain and it was caused by this dentist. Please be cautious and go to a proper orthodontist for any serious dental work.

Dr. Holley is definitely the best dentist I've ever had. I've been there several times now and have never had a bad experience. Dr. Holley is extremely attentive, knowledgeable, and personable. All of his staff are equally as wonderful. The ladies at the front desk always remember my name, accommodate my schedule, and go above and beyond to deal with dental insurance companies. I have extremely sensitive teeth and the hygienists always make the experience as comfortable as possible.

First and only cleaning appointment here took more than 2 hours. They wouldn't do sealants but tried to run it through my insurance. I told them insurance doesn't pay for sealants. I complained about the delays and no one seemed to care all that much. They also won't email your x-rays to other dentists because they don't have secure email and it's 2019.
