She is originally from Holland, Michigan and worked as a dental assistant for Holland Family Dentistry prior to attending dental school. Dr. Morin is eager to provide dental care to the residents of the lakeshore area. She is committed to helping every patient obtain the goals of a healthy smile for a lifetime!
Jackie is our Dental Office Coordinator. Jackie comes to us with experience in accounting and marketing as well as a medical background. Jackie is an asset to our office in all clerical areas. She assists with the hiring and training of new staff and she monitors the workflow of the office. She also examines patients accounting and all of our insurance statements, claims, payments, and policies. She also works with all of our dental supply representatives.
Did you know that 90% of people diagnosed with temporomandibular joint disorder (TMD) are women? TMD is chronic pain or soreness in the joints of the jaw.Its typically caused by bruxism(teeth grinding), but joint structure, stress, arthritis, vitamin deficiency, or hormones could also be responsible.
Another condition women are more likely to be affected by than men is Sjrgens syndrome, an autoimmune disorder in which the immune system mistakenly attacks parts of the body, particularly salivary glands and tear ducts, causing both dry mouth and dry eye. In addition tomaking chewing and swallowing difficult and uncomfortableand interfering with the sense of taste, dry mouth is dangerous to oral health.
Puberty, pregnancy, and menopause all come withmajor hormonal changes that can impact oral health. Gingivitis and gum inflammation are more common during puberty and pregnancy, which makes good daily dental health habits like brushing and flossing even more important under these conditions.
Menopause is associated with a higher incidence of dry mouth and bone loss in the jaw. Thisbone loss can compromise the gum tissue and the roots of teeth, which is why its important to discuss it with the dentist (preferably before any symptoms have even begun).
Women arent the only ones who struggle with eating disorders, but they are certainly twice as common among teenage girls as teenage boys. Eating disorders are incredibly dangerous and damage every system in the body, including teeth and gums.Its a two-pronged attack on oral health: malnutrition weakens the oral tissues and the immune system while acid erosion (in the case of bulimia) destroys tooth enamel.
We encourage anyone struggling with an eating disorder to seek psychiatric help so that they can begin the mental recovery process.The dental health recovery process will likely require helpin the form of a rigorous dental hygiene routine and professional attention from the dentist.
With all these risk factors women face in keeping their teeth and gums healthy, are there really any up-sides? Yes, actually, and its a big one. Women tend to be better than men at taking care of their teeth! Women are more likely to maintain good oral health habits, and theyre also better at keeping up with their regular dental exams and getting the dentists help when they experience tooth pain (as opposed to trying to tough it out), so even if they are more susceptible to certain problems, the impact is reduced!

Absolutely underwhelmed by the professionalism here. Would not recommend to anyone. Made my appointment 3 months ago and was assured that if they didn't take my insurance I would be told before my scheduled appointment came up. Fast forward to the day before and they called for all the same info they took when making the appointment along with requesting records of my last X-ray when there was no mention before. Come the day of the appointment after I filled out the paperwork (all the same info for the 3rd time that I have already given them) I am now told my insurance isn't accepted.

The entire experience was amazing! From the staff to Dr Morin. My hygienist talked to me through my entire cleaning and explained everything she was doing and why she was doing it. I couldn't have made a better choice! Thank you all for welcoming me.

By far the best dentist I have ever been to. The staff are all very nice and professional. They make me feel very comfortable and help with the anxiety of going in general since they are so polite.

Dr. Morin is the best dentist we have ever been to. She is caring and listens. The entire staff is friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming. We are so happy we found her. I went for my first dentist appointment in several years today. I left feeling very encouraged and educated despite the fact that they found a few cavities and other issues that I can work on. They were very thorough in the xrays that they took and during the cleaning they actually had me hold up a mirror and showed me the correct ways that I should be flossing and brushing my teeth. Dr. Morin was very friendly and explained everything very clearly to me. When I checked out and made an appointment for fillings they were very clear with me about what my insurance would cover and how much I would be responsible for paying. They took a lot of the anxiety out of a visit for the dentist for me. I'm happy to have found this dentist's office!

Two problems I have with this dentist office; First, I asked them to check and make sure everything they were going to do on that particular visit was covered under my dental insurance and they told me they called and everything was covered, which wasn't true so I ended up paying a couple thousand more than expected. Second, I had to go back 3 times to have them re-do multiple fillings and they still couldn't get any of them right. Needless to say I found a new dentist.

Best office in town, hands down! I was shocked to see a one star review for this office... makes no sense to me as our family of 6 has been going here for as long as I can remember and have always had a stellar experience. Super great staff with kids (especially first timers who may be scared), and loads of fun joking around with the adults. We never dread seeing the dentist... my kids often ask, "when can we go to the dentist again?" They love it! In fact, one of my daughters will be shadowing Dr. Morin as she's always been so willing and excited to share her love of dentistry with anyone interested in the field. Services we've had include cleanings, filled cavities, whitening, cosmetic, and crowns - with both Dr. Deenik and Dr. Morin, and their phenomenal hygienists. The office has worked with us figuring out insurance billing and we've never had a problem. Excellent all the way around as their office has state of the art equipment - always innovative and future forward in their thinking and services. I always recommend this office to friends and any newcomer to town looking for outstanding dental care.

took my husband here thinking it would be great. The people we're super nice and seemed to care alot. Well I was all wrong. They gave my husband a deep cleaning and we set up an appointment for some fillings. After the fillings we're done my husband had terrible pain but him being a man tried to tough it out. He had another appointment to have more work done and said they wouldn't see my husband again until paying upwords of more than half a grand to fix his issues that they messed up and to do the rest of his fillings. I said can't you please work with us on a payment plan we will pay it we just can't afford this all up front today before his appointment. The lady on the phone was super rude giving me all types of sass. I was really taken back by the whole thing because they put on such a good front. But they totally ruined there chances of ever having us as patients again. How can a company not be willing to work with you on such a high payment and not fix the issue they caused my husband to have..I'm extremely dissatisfied with there services and there people working there. I tell everyone my experience in hopes I save them time and a great deal of money. DONT GO HERE!!!

Best so far. Dr. Morin is exceptionally great. Her office staff is not only competent but very friendly and knowledgeable about the various procedures offered. Unlike most Dentist, it takes more then mere friendliness and smiles to reach the top of my selection list. And Dr. Morin is in the TOP 2 spots!

This review is for Dr. Deenik. I wanted to let everyone know how much I respect and trust this man. I have had him for a dentist for more years than I can count. My son who is 31 now has went to him since he was 5 years old. My son respects this man tremendously. He is kind and gentle, the best! He genuinely cares about you. His work is beyond good. No one gives shots better! I just want everyone to know if you want a great dentist this is your man. Thank you Dr. Deenik for being who you are and for being the best dentist we could of asked for!
