Dr. Ludlow grew up in Salt Lake City. After majoring in Chemistry at the University of Utah, he went to dental school at the University of Southern California. Graduating in 1981, Dr. Ludlow returned to Holladay to establish his private practice.
Dr. Ludlow is dedicated to continuing his dental education so he can stay up to date with the most modern and advanced dental techniques and technology. Every year Dr. Ludlow completes several hours of continuing education with a focus on courses work provided by UCLA, the Spear Institute, and the prestigious Las Vegas Institute (LVI.) Dr. Ludlows dental practice is focused on creating a harmonious, aesthetic smile that provides long-term oral health.
Heidi grew up in Salt Lake City and attended Highland High School. She has worked in the hotel industry stock transfer industry and she has many years of management experience. She enjoys meeting and getting no patience and she very much enjoyed working with the positive upbeat crew here at Holladay Dental Excellence.
Heidi enjoys living close to her son and three grandchildren. She loves to dine at porcupine Pub located on Fort Union Boulevard in Cottonwood Heights. Heidi loves to read. She also really enjoys traveling. Close to home she likes to visit Heber Valley, Midway and especially lake Powell.
Cheristy grew up in Taylorsville, Utah and graduated from Taylorsville High School. She went to Snow College and Utah State University. After college and trying out a few different things she decided that she wanted to start working in the dental field. She did a short Dental Assisting program in Sandy Utah and then started working chairside.
She recently got married, and her and her husband love to hike together especially in Little Cottonwood Canyon and around the local mountains. She actually met her husband while hiking. She also enjoys cooking and brings treats into the office every once in awhile.
Kenalee grew up in Bluffdale Utah where she attended Riverton High School. She attended both Salt Lake Community College and the University of Utah. She then did her hygiene training at Fortis College.
She enjoys rock climbing especially in American Fork Canyon and Red Rock in Draper. She is excited to be getting married in November of 2018 in Hawaii. She enjoys spending time with her dog Duke who is a Blue Heeler.
Stephanie has been a registered dental hygienist for 18 years and has worked for Dr. Ludlow 16 years! Besides working in private practice Stephanie volunteers her time to Salt Lake Donated Dental, Family Dental Plan, Special Olympics and other organizations. As a member of the American Dental Hygiene Association she has served as a delegate and traveled around the nation representing Utah dental hygienists.
Currently Stephanie is attending UVU and will graduate Spring 2018 with her Bachelor 's Degree in Dental Hygiene. When she isn 't polishing those 'pearly whites,' Stephanie loves to be outdoors running, hiking, snow skiing, and camping. She also loves to travel, play games and be with family.

I have been very pleased with all the services I have received from Holladay Dental over the last 16+ years. I have always felt comfortable in the office with the people and cleanliness. It is a bright atmosphere with happy employees. I have been particularly impressed with Dr. Val Ludlow. He is professional, very knowledgeable about his job and his skill and gentle touch has kept me coming back. His people skills are impressive along with his clarity in explaining what will be taking place. He is very concerned about his patients. I have also been in awe of his ability and willingness to share any information that is new in the field of dentistry.

Excellent, knowledgeable, caring dentist and staff! I feel so lucky to have found Dr. Ludlow several years ago. I have needed a lot of work, and I will never go to anyone else. And he is the best at giving novacane injections. I HIGHLY recommend!

I had to have the same filling redone two times. At least they only charged me half price for the appts, but I would have liked to pay full price for one appt.

I went in for a teeth whitening treatment. After getting four sessions of the treatment I was told that sometimes the treatment doesn't work well on some people. It made me feel awkward and wondered if it didn't work on me. As I went out to the lobby to pay the bill we happened to run into the sales rep who sells the teeth whitening products to the dentist. He had me smile for him to see how it worked and I could tell by the look on his face that it didn't do very well. He went on to explain how with some patients it doesn't whiten evenly and that I would need to do touchups with trays and bleach, etc. I was already late for appointment and went to leave and it was a very awkward situation. All this it happened before I had had a chance to even look in the mirror and see my teeth and how uneven the whitening was. The people were nice but the procedure a disappointment. I wish they would have been more clear about expectations beforehand.

The best dental experience I have ever had. Dr.Val Ludlow is a wonderful dentist and he is so gentle and amazing!!! The stuff is really nice and friendly, but Kathy is very professional and thoughtful all at once. She is really amazing!!! She makes me always wants to return. Thank you Holladay Dental!!!

I had cavities I was putting off due to some pretty severe dental anxiety. And I knew I needed a frenectomy that I had been too scared to acknowledge. From the first appointment, I felt ery supported by the whole office. Folks came back to check on me. They remembered that I brought a fidget toy to my first appointment and gave me one for the second after I'd forgotten mine. My dental assistant Alicia was very kind. Dr. Ludlow was calm and told me we could take breaks and explained things well. Everyone was very kind and helped schedule things in the ways that made me most comfortable (a noninvasive evaluation and one massively long appointment.) The uninsured program was straightforward and very reasonable. Very pleased and appreciative of the service.
