Dr. Sandy Lor was born and raised in Fitchburg, MA and graduated from Fitchburg High School where she earned the General Excellence Award awarded to one female and one male student in a graduating class who exemplified excellence in academics, leadership, volunteer, and other aspects of their character. She completed her Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry and studied studio arts at Simmons University (formerly Simmons College) in Boston, MA, where she continued to lead her peers as Student Government President and earned the Presidents Joan Melber Warburg Leadership Award. As an undergraduate student, Dr. Lor also participated in dental research at the Forsyth Institute and research in colors and pigments at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts.
Dr. Lor continued her journey to her dream dental school at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine (TUSDM) in Boston, MA where she earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD). With Dr. Lors excellent clinical and leadership skills, she was recruited to be the TUSDM Head Teachers Assistant of Prosthodontics where she helped mentor and tutor underclassmen dental students in dental preclinical sessions to hone their hand-eye coordination and preparations. Dr. Sandy Lor valued her experience of service to the Cape Cod Community Health Center where she served the community as a student dentist. Dr. Lor was awarded a certificate of Global Service Learning at TUSDM and participated and volunteered with Dentists for Humanity to serve underserved rural communities in dental services. Dr. Lor cherishes her memories and relationships that she made with Dentists for Humanity and hopes to continue to volunteer her time and services with them in the near future.
Some people know from a very young age that they want to become a dentist, but that was not the case for Dr. Lor. Through her individual experiences of service, mentorship, leadership, building relationships with people, interests in the combination of arts and sciences, and valuing education, she found dentistry; a field of study that combined all of her core values. Dr. Lor believes that her purpose in this world is to connect with others through kindness, empathy, and help others positively impact and improve peoples lives through the care of their oral health.Dr. Lor will continue learning dentistry with the Seattle Study Club of Worcester and hopes to continue her journey as a lifelong learning dentist. Dr. Lor is a member of the American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society, Wachusett Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, and the Seattle Study Club of Worcester.
In her free time, Dr. Lor enjoys spending time with her family and friends, playing board games, playing volleyball, hiking mountains, fishing for trout, walking and jogging, painting, and watching Harry Potter movies. Dr. Lor is a big-time foodie and aspires to travel the world to eat all foods from all countries and cultures. Dr. Lor looks forward to meeting you and learning more about all her patients.

Dr. Lor is a genius. From the beginning, she listened to my concerns and addressed my needs. She does beautiful work, and excellent follow up. She is always available in case there are any concerns. The team is excellent, helpful and kind as well.

Dr. Lor and her team are friendly, capable, professional, and welcoming. I particularly appreciate the extra time the doctor and the staff take to explain the issues they are addressing through their care and the procedures they plan to conduct. The office is a calm and reassuring environment. I have been a patient at this practice for 40+ years. My wife and I brought our family here and we remain patients today. I am glad that Dr. Lor's predecessor was as careful in his selection of a successor as he was in his care for our family all those years. I am pleased also that Dr. Lor retained so many members of this excellent team. Highly recommend this family dentistry practice

Dr. Lor is.... In a word.....fabulous. She is easy to communicate with and a great listener. The office staff are all amazing! Dr. Lor takes her time with her patients. Throughout the appointment she communicates with you to let you know what is going to happen. As if that wasn't enough......After my last appointment I received a call from Dr Lor AFTER HOURS to check on me! I felt that Dr Lor was truly concerned for my welfare. She said that she wanted to follow up to be sure that I was doing ok as I had been in her chair a couple of hours having work done. My family and I are moving out of the area but we have decided to continue to see Dr Lor. We are willing to travel to see her due to the exceptional care that she and the entire staff provide to us every time we are there.

Dr. Lor is a very talented and skilled dentist. My previous dentists were not. My crown had been improperly placed and fallen out multiple times. But when I switched to Dr. Lor she was able to do it the right way correctly. Now it doesn't fall out and I am very happy! The staff is also amazingly friendly and makes me feel like a part of the family!

I recently just decided to try out a new dentist and quickly realized how well Dr. Lor does her job. The appointments i had with her I always leave happy and satisfied. I am never disappointed with the service she provides. The wait time is super fast. Everyone in the clinic is really nice and kind, made me feel really comfortable. They are really gentle and always check if I was okay. Unlike some places I've been too, where they are really rough and have super long wait times. I highly recommend Dr Lor! She's the best in the business !!

Excellent experience. The professionalism and friendliness of the whole team is outstanding. Dr. Lor is easy to communicate with and listens to her patients needs and concerns with great insight. Dr. Lor also takes the time to make sure you understand everything she is doing. I like that she'll let you know exactly how something is going to feel. I have been beyond pleased with the exceptional care I have received at the Holden Family Dentistry. Dr. Lor has taken years of my dental fears away and I heartily recommend her. Dr. Lor is a very experienced and caring dental professional. I saw Dr. Lor for a routine cleaning and checkup. Knowledgeable and patient, she spends the time to get to know you as a patient and also educate you on your condition. I like how Dr. Lor offer ways to improve my condition, not just tell me what's wrong and fix it. I want to know what I'm doing incorrectly and Dr. Lor did not make me feel bad about myself like many other dentists do. She has very gentle hands and makes the cleaning process very comfortable. I would highly recommend Dr. Lor to be anyone's dental provider!

Dr. Sandy Lor is very gentle and kind. She is caring and takes the time to explain everything to you. I have not been to the dentist for a long time but I'm glad Dr. Lor put me at ease to see the dentist. I'm glad she helped me gain confidence and to smile fully again. She really cares about you and emphasized to me what I need to do to keep my teeth healthy. She taught me a lot of things I didn't know about my own mouth. I feel that she loves and cares about all her patients. She won't let you get off easy!

Dr. Lor is amazing!!! I've been a patient of hers for 2 years now and every time I go I'm always satisfied with the results. She was able to take away my toothache. She was super patient, and she made me feel comfortable during the procedure. I highly recommend her.

Dr. Lor is a great dentist! I had a horrible toothache and after a visit to Dr. Lor my pain was gone. She was patient, caring, kind and I never once felt uncomfortable during my visit. I will definitely go to her again if I had a problem with my teeth!

Great place to make as my family's primary dental. Dr. Lor is very professional and caring. She is my family's primary dentist. The kids love seeing Dr. Lor, she's great with kids. She makes my kids and I feel very comfortable in the chair. I especially am thankful and greatful for her work. She gave me a whole new smile that I can finally show the world. (I had a peg lateral tooth and a gap between my two front teeth) Dr. Lor is very well educated and I trust her advice on maintaining my teeth.

I am not a fan of dentists. I would dread sitting in that chair anticipating the pain of what was to come. Sandy Lor changed all of that for me. She is the most gentle and caring provider I have ever been to. I needed extensive work done and for the first time it was virtually painless She explains everything that needs to be done and makes sure you are comfortable during the procedures. Had a very good experience with Dr. Sandy Lor. I've always had dental anxiety every time I go see a dentist. She is very gentle and kind, always asking if I am having any discomfort or pain before proceeding with procedures, makes me feel more calm and relaxed, She truly cares for her patients.

I have been going to Dr Allen for over 20 years. I do believe he is the reason I have all my own teeth as I start to look at retirement. He is big on preventing a problem before it begins to be a big problem. He also takes his time with you. You do not feel like just a number. He helps you feel like you are some one he cares about and wants the best for. He is also very skilled both with administering Novocaine and working on your teeth. I still have work in place that he did over 20 years ago. Finally, he is very patient with difficult patients. Since I fit into that category when I first started seeing him, I know that to be true. Dr Allen is a dentist you can trust to take very good care of you.
