A lifelong resident of the state; Dr. Novack received his undergraduate degree at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He was graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1978. After receiving his dental degree, he enlisted in the U.S. Army Dental Corps where he served for three years as Captain. He went into private practice after his military service. In addition to serving patients at Holden Dental Care, Dr. Novack cared for veterans for thirteen years at the Soldier's Home in Holyoke, Massachusetts. Holden Dental Care celebrated its tenth anniversary in January, 2009.
Dr. Novack truly enjoys the practice of family dentistry and the rewards of helping patients achieve a healthy, beautiful smile. He devotes many hours every year to continuing education, particularly the incorporation of technology and techniques to improve patient comfort. The practice recently had the distinction of becoming the first practice in Worcester County to incorporate the 3M Lava Chairside Oral Scanner, a device that eliminates the need for traditional impressions in dental work.
Jessica is a Certified Dental Assistant who joined the Holden Dental Care team in 2014. Working with Dr. Novack was her first job after Dental Assisting School, so she has been trained specifically to his techniques. Jessica has taken many continuing education hours including Mini Dental Implant training with Dr. Novack. She is also trained in using the Cerec, Scanning and designing in office crowns. She is currently working towards her Certified Restorative Function Dental Assisting certification. Jessica is our infection control/ OSHA coordinator and strives to make sure the office is a safe working environment for staff and patient care. Outside of the office Jessica enjoys spending time with her family, Camping trips, and hunting.
Barbara is the office expert on insurance and patient financing. She has been in dental administration since 1992. She takes great pride and satisfaction in helping our patients maximize their dental benefits. Barbara and her husband love spending time at the beach and have 3 wonderful grandchildren.
Jen has been a dental hygienist with Holden Dental Care since 2013, after she graduated from dental hygiene school. She is very thorough, gentle, and caring with all of her patients. She strives to not only better patients oral health but also their overall health. She enjoys the beach, baking, spending time with her husband and dog, and she is also a balloon artist for a decorating company in her spare time.

I've been going to Dr. Novak at Holden Dental Care for 3 years now and everyone there is professional, friendly and caring. Dr. Novak and Jordan recently did 2 crowns on my front side teeth and they came out beautiful!!!!

Dr. Novak removed 7 teeth for me. Now - I was petrified - but he took great care and patience as my teeth were very bad and he was afraid he may break off a root if he wasn't VERY careful. Well - mission accomplished. Folks - these guys are GREAT. Best dental care I've ever had - and I'm 60. UPDATE 8/23/19. Second trip in for denture adjustment. Total success. Folks from day 1 these guys had a level of care a step above. FULL mouth x-rays initially no charge. When u gone to a dentist not charge for X-rays?? Dr. Novak's office is my choice for my future dental care and I highly recommend them to YOU.

I called on Tuesday complaining of pain. They got me an appointment for the next day. Being a new patient I was thrilled. I had been turned away by 2 other dentists in Holden. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Novack was very thorough and took the time to look at every possible reason why I had pain in my lower jaw. He referred me to a specialist. The receptionist took care of booking the appointment for the next day. Couldn't be happier with my experience at Holden Dental.

Bad cleaning job twice they didn't notice cavity during cleaning i saw it in the mirror next day and a next day i came back to the office i was told good job doctor ....., they never explain it how two of them missed. I don't make hundreds thousand of dollars to do Dantist job! So it was fix but 3 month later I saw a cavity in the same place. At the same time they want to replace a bridge i have because it may get infection sometimes later because roo canal wasn't feel all the way but it was ok for last 7 years without any change to it and gave me an estimate of 4200$ for it. After I took an xray to get second opinion on it i recive a letter that they can't longer provide me with the dental service any more because of no trust between us!! The other dentist said we'll keep eye on it and if we see an infection sometimes later than will fix it but it looks like it's gonna stay the same for a years. So pay attention what they want to fix.

I am owner/operator of Shelby Environmental, Health and Safety, and I had the pleasure of evaluating Holden Dental Care in Holden, MA today, inspecting for cleanliness, OSHA regulatory compliance, infection control which ensures patient safety regarding the spread of infectious diseases, and general safety (emergency medicines, equipment, indoor and outdoor safety, and general updated federal protocol). I was extremely pleased with the degree of safety standard exhibited by all staff members on site! Well done, Holden Dental Care!
