From the time Wendell Holdbrook decided to pursue dentistry, it was clear that he wanted to treat children. Dr. Holdbrook uses his mild, warm personality to create a friendly, approachable environment that is inviting to those of all ages. He is calm and easily adapts to each childs needs and manner.
It is not just about his personality. Dr. Holdbrook is highly skilled in the area of pediatric dentistry. In addition to routine services like check-ups and cleanings, Dr. Holdbrook also has a unique talent for restorative dentistry, including tooth-colored fillings and the use of cosmetic strip crowns.
Dr. Holdbrooks strength is his successful use of oral conscious sedation to treat medically-compromised and special needs children or those who may be anxious and unable to comfortably cope with dental care.
Dr. Holdbrook has also mastered the skill of Laser Dentistry which allows him to treat patients who are tongue tied, have Speech Impediments and babies who are having problems latching during breastfeeding.
Dr. Holdbrook received his undergraduate degree from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey and Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree from Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, earning the Award for Exceptional Ability in Childrens Dentistry. Dr. Holdbrook received his Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from the Temple University Hospital, Episcopal Division, Pediatric Dentistry Residency Program where he was also awarded the Best Clinician Award.
Licensed to practice in New Jersey. Dr. Holdbrook is a Diplomat with and Certified by The American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He is also a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), American Dental Association (ADA), New Jersey Dental Association (NJDA) and American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (ABPD).
Dr. Holdbrook is a longtime resident of Southern New Jersey, graduating from Collingswood High School, and currently resides in Moorestown, New Jersey with his wife and three daughters. He is active in the community, including his commitment to treating patients that are Intellectually Disabled.
Dr. Gupta knew from a very young age that she had a passion for dentistry. She obtained her dental degree at the New Jersey Dental School. Upon completion, she did a general practice residency at Mountainside Hospital in Montclair, NJ. It was here that she fell in love with her young patients liveliness and spontaneity. She worked as a general dentist for 2 years with a focus on children. Dr. Gupta then completed a pediatric dental specialty residency at St. Christophers Hospital for Children. Dr. Gupta loves bringing smiles to children and makes her patients oral health care her top priority.
Dr. Christine Biondi graduated from Temple University School of Dentistry. Her love for helping children feel comfortable in the dental office inspired her to pursue pediatric dentistry. She moved to New York City to complete a pediatric residency program at Columbia University. She has been honored with numerous awards for achievement, including the Richard C. Pugh award given to students scoring in the top 3% in the country on the pediatric dental board exam.
Additionally, Dr. Biondi is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. After practicing pediatric dentistry in both South Carolina and Ohio while her husband was completing training for cardiothoracic surgery, she is happy to finally be back near family and friends in New Jersey, and looks forward to calling Mullica Hill home. Dr. B loves photography and enjoys taking sunrise and sunset photographs while traveling.
Dr. Byrde Pettigrew has specialized in pediatric dentistry for over thirty years. Dr. Byrdes love for children and joy of service, helped her to choose her career path in dentistry. Her gentle demeanor relieves the minds of her patients and their parents. Dr. Byrde obtained her Doctor of Dental Medicine and specialty training at the University of Pittsburgh.
Dr. Byrde lives in the Camden County area with her wonderful husband, Christopher. They have three adult children, Heather, Julius and Marcus. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends. In her spare time Dr. Byrde has been known to catch up on a good book or watch her favorite movie. She also enjoys to sew and even knit on occasions. Dr. Byrde has a true passion for travel and new adventures. Dr. Byrde joined Holdbrook Pediatric Dental in mid-2017 and travels to all three locations; Cherry Hill, Swedesboro and Princeton.
Dr. Melissa Blake is a board certified pediatric dentist, specializing in dental care for infants, children, adolescents, and special needs patients.. She attended Trinity College of Hartford, Connecticut where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and Studio Arts in 2011. Following college she attended the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine where she obtained her Doctorate in Dental Medicine in 2015. During her time in training Dr. Blake realized her true calling was in caring for the needs of children. She subsequently attended a specialty training program and obtained her certificate in Advanced Education in Pediatric Dentistry in 2017 at the Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine. Since then she has enjoyed making the rewarding field of pediatric dentistry her lifes work. She states The most rewarding moment of my day is when an anxious child puts their trust in me that everything will be okay.
Outside of work Dr. Blake and her husband enjoy the outdoors, discovering new restaurants, and spending time with family. They own a Keeshond named Aria who they hope will make a wonderful therapy dog one day. We are excited to welcome Dr. Blake to our team!

Sat in the waiting room for an hour and a half. Asked how much longer it would be. They said "Oops, the doctor saw patients who came in after you. We're super busy." No apology. Kids missed school for this appointment. Not coming back.

I started going here when my daughter was two. I loved the hygienists, especially Kylie. Sadly, during Covid, it went downhill. They're Covid nuts. They stopped seeing adult patients, so I had to find a new dentist in the midst of a pandemic. They stopped allowing caretakers into the waiting area, which is still in effect. Most healthcare facilities are allowing at least ONE parent/guardian inside. I'd have to drive 30 minutes only to sit my car for an hour. Every time my child would have a new appointment, there was a different hygienist. I haven't see. Kylie in years. Seems like they can't keep staff. They definitely lost my business.

My son has Autism and used to need sedation for dental procedures. He's 15 and has gone 8 years without the need for sedation. I have the utmost respect for this team because they were able to keep my son calm enough to do x-rays, cleaning and check-ups without a trip to the OR. Thanks to all of you!

New office is Alice in Wonderland theme and it is absolutely perfect. It helps keeps kids minds at ease for sure. The staff is super friendly, they were amazing with my one year old!

Today was a good day! Minor hiccup which was quickly fixed! For the most part staff was great, kind and respectful! My grandchildren love Holdbrook been dealing with them for the past 5years!

sweet dentist in the office as my son seen she was proud how good he was but she did just as good. very impressed with the new office my son was thrilled to visit today to get work done as i was a little concerned he would be more bothered but they helped make him at ease dentist we had was awesome very happy with her

My 3 kids had appt today! Oh my goodness, where do I begin!! First off they were happy to see ipads n waiting room and the big chair. When they were taken in room to get teeth cleaned n offered different flavors of toothpaste. Then to find out they could watch TV n the ceiling. Wait- did I mention the got to get prize out of vending machine n was given cool glasses to wear while getting teeth cleaned. I love the fact all 3 kids were seen @ same time in same room while I was sitting comfortable next to them. We absolutely love it here!!

We just had our infant sons tongue and lip tie taken care of with holdbrook and it was the most amazing experience! They are so warm and welcoming, the office is immaculate and very cool with the design for kids, the entire staff was so nice, knowledgeable and professional. They made us so comfortable with the whole process! I highly recommend this office

My kids first dentist switch and I was beyond happy with my experience and my girls were too. I showed up a day early and it was embarrassing lol but they were so helpful. Great energy and love love love the Alice and wonderland theme

Holdbrook in Swedesboro was truly amazing! They took us right back (3yr old) and we're so friendly and helpful, from the hygienist, to the dentist and all the way to the front desk! Highly recommend!!!!!

What started out as a great place to take your children (4yrs ago) has now turned into a waiting nightmare. A few months ago we had an appointment and had to wait in the car for 1 hour and 15 minutes to be seen. Once we go back they didn't really want to take the time to work with my 4yr old about her surgery, who was all worked up from waiting so long to be seen and not know what was going to happen, again 1 hour a 15 minutes. Most recent appointment we waiting 45 minutes before anyone told us we could come in and then told us they needed to find out if a parent could come back as we watched other parents come and go out of the building with their kids. A 5yr old waiting that long for what they are already scared of is not a good practice and only makes the situation worse when it's time. Mind you both times we had to wait in the car because of covid restrictions the dentist has, which I'm fine with but does add to the nervousness of the kids. They claim to be pediatric but have zero care for the kids waiting nervously to be seen. Sad this place seems to be going down hill. Any suggestions on another pediatric dentist would be greatly appreciated.
