Since I aman active member of numerous professional organizations, I have many opportunities to continue my education through courses and seminars on the newest and most effective orthodontic technology. In addition to being board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics, I am also a member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, the Iowa Society of Orthodontists, and the Black Hawk County Dental Society.

I firmly believe it is my calling to help out in our community. I am strongly active in my church, serveon the executive board for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Cedar Valley, andam a past president of the Iowa Association of Orthodontists.I also participate by sponsoring many local sports and fundraising events that help to improve our area.

I grew up and graduated from high school in Mason Cityand currently live in Cedar Falls. My wife Brooke and I have been married almost 20years. We have two daughters, McKenna and Kate, a son named Cullen, and a dog, Maizy. I love to spend time with my family most of all, but when I have free time, I also enjoy hunting, fishing, playing golf, and watching college sports.

After some sage advice from my little sister, I decided to pursue a career in dentistry. I graduated dental school with honors from Oregon Health & Science University in 2007, and was inducted as a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. I completed my orthodontic training at Nova Southeastern University, and became a certified orthodontist in 2009.

I am honored to be a member of boththe Greater Cedar Valley Alliance and Chamber and the Waverly Chamber of Commerce. I am a strong supporter of our local schools, and I enjoy serving our local communities through volunteerism with great organizations such as the Northeast Iowa Area Agency on Aging and Retrieving Freedom.

I am board certified by the American Association of Orthodontics. I am also an active member of numerous professional organizations that allow me opportunities for continuing education in order to provide my patients with the most effective orthodontic treatment and the newest orthodontic technologies. These organizations include the the Iowa Dental Association, the Iowa Society of Orthodontists, the Midwestern Society of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, and the American Association of Orthodontists.

I started working for Dr. Holahan in 2007:assisting him chairside, working in the lab, and assisting with front-desk duties. I enjoy working with our friendly staff and getting to know our patients and their families on a personal level. Dr. Holahan is great to work with. I assist Dr. Holahan by taking X-rays and impressions of our patients teeth, fabricating retainers, and most important, making sure our patients are happy and smiling when they leave our office. I worked in Illinois for five years before moving back to Iowa, and joined Dr. Boes team in 2018. Everyone here makes it a lot of fun to come to work every day! The best part of my job is helping patients achieve their goals for a beautiful smile.

I live in Denver, where I graduated from high school. My oldest son is a chiropractor in Ankeny where he lives with his fiance. My other two sons are active in multiple school activities that keep me very busy. I am the current basketball cheer and dance team coach at the high school. When I have free time, I enjoy the outdoors, which includes bike riding.
