Morning breath mouth odor can be from bacteria associated with bleeding gums. Daily flossing and checking for periodontal disease can help. Acid Reflux or GERD and tonsil issues are also a common cause.
Routine check-up radiographs are postponed to minimize radiation exposure while pregnant. For infections and emergency situations, the benefits outweigh the risks, but each case is evaluated as needed. We encourage getting your teeth fixed and healthy beforehand if pregnancy is planned.
Periodontal disease is often unfelt by a person. It usually progresses over many years before symptoms appear. Our office routinely checks for periodontal disease at each visit. Bleeding when brushing or flossing is an indicator that the disease could be present at its first stages.

Our family has been regular patients at Hoffman Dental for many years, and we love the family-friendly atmosphere and professionalism. I am grateful for both of the Doctor Hoffmans, their assistants, and faculty because they continuously improve for my dental hygiene and care for my health. I have developed a strong friendship with the office, especially with my bi-weekly Invisalign dental appointments. As a new patient, my expectation was to go in and get xrays and have my teeth cleaned, but Dr. Cheryl provided so much more. She welcomed me into her office to have a proper meet and greet. Next, I was given a tour of the entire office. When I got to the exam room, I had pictures taken of my teeth, xrays and then Dr. Cheryl thoroughly cleaned my teeth herself. It was a fantastic visit. I need some additional work done and she provided a thorough explanation of what was going on by showing me and explaining each picture she took and then provided options for next steps. Overall my first visit was great! Highly recommend.

Dr. Tom makes coming to the dentist calm, relaxing and fun. He is gentle and caring. I love the art/photos in his office. The staff is always accommodating and thorough with providing information. Great Dental Office!
