Dr. Gerald Hoch was born and raised in Bayonne, New Jersey. He earned his undergraduate degree at Rutgers University and went on to attend New York University College of Dentistry. Dr. Hoch graduated top of his class and was inducted into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.After receiving his DDS, Dr. Hoch served in the Vietnam War before returning to specialize in orthodontics back at New York University.
In 2007, Dr. Gerald Hoch started teaching in the Orthodontic Department at New York University. He continues to teach residents in their program on Fridays and plays an active roll in preparing the residents for the board certification exams.
He and his wife, Joyce, live in Holmdel, NJ and have three children: Allison, Andrew, and Amy. They have lived in Holmdel for the past 39 years. Dr. Hoch and his wife enjoy traveling, playing golf, and spending time with their three children and their spouses and 7 grandchildren.
Dr. Andrew Hoch was born and raised in Holmdel, New Jersey. He earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and went on to attend dental school at the University of Pennsylvania's School of Dental Medicine.
At the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Andrew completed a one-year long Advanced Education in General Dentistry program before finishing a three-year postgraduate orthodontic residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in New York. Dr. Andrew excelled in his residency, earning the distinction of Chief Resident in his final year.
Dr. Andrew has been a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics since 2007.This is the highest honor awarded in the field by the only specialty licensing board recognized by both the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Andrew has been named a Top Orthodontist inNew Jersey Monthly's Survey of Top Dentists in New Jersey every year since 2012. He has also been consistently recognized as a Premier Invisalign Provider.
He and his wife, Ellen, live in Westfield, NJ and have three children: Morgan, Ryan and Spencer.They enjoy skiing in the winter, beaching in the summer, and following football and basketball as a family in between.

Dr. Amy and her husband, Eric, live in Westfield, NJ with their daughter, Sloane and son, Shaun. The whole family love skiing in the winter, biking in the spring and relaxing on the beach in the summer. As a hobby, Dr. Amy also loves running marathons, triathlons, andbaking/decoratingcakes for family and friends!

I have three kids and we have seen Dr. Gerald Hoch, Dr. Andrew Hoch and Dr. Amy Hoch over past 12 years. We have been very happy, and grateful to Drs. Hoch for what they have done to us, and I always recommend friends to Hoch Orthodontics for their kids' orthodontic need and treatment. Drs. Hoch and the entire staff in both Matawan and Westfield offices are very professional, patient and friendly. They never rush, and always take time and care in each appointment and visit, even long after we paid off the treatment package. Now my little one just got her braces removed. Her teeth look so beautiful, just like her old brother and sister's.

Doctor is knowledgeable, friendly , takes her time, explanations are thorough , doesn't rush you and goes goes above and beyond for you and your care. Office is clean and state of the art! Staff friendly and helpful ! I highly recommend them to anyone needing orthodontics.

This was a great experience overall. The staff here are very nice and welcoming. From my very first consultation everything just felt genuine and nothing was rushed. They did all the scans, took pictures, explained the process, timelines and provided me my options. Dr. Andrew Hoch is great and very knowledgeable. I am so glad I chose this practice.

My son just finished treatment with Hoch Orthodontics in Westfield, and we are so happy with the results. He finished even earlier than expected. The doctors and staff are amazing, very caring and thoughtful. We highly recommend them!

I've been here twice for a broken permanent retainer. The office is so clean and the staff super friendly. The orthodontist did a great job fixing my issues and was very kind.

I had a great experience with Hoch Orthodontist, what a great office staff. I was told I would only have to wear my braces for 15 months and it was exactly 15 months and the outcome was definitely worth it. Thank you so much to the entire staff!!

The office is beautiful with a friendly atmosphere! Dr. Andrew and Dr. Amy were both very warm and welcoming . My 7 year old son was a little nervous going in and with in minutes his nerves were settled and he was interested in learning all about his teeth.

Like most parents, I was anxious about getting braces for my son, who is very sensitive to any dental intervention. I was pleasantly surprised by how patient, flexible and kind the staff was at Hoch Orthodontics. They were focused on keeping my son's anxiety down and did all they could to keep him relaxed. They always explain what they will do in advance and let him touch the materials they are putting in his mouth. When Dr. Amy put his braces on, she allowed him to sit up - she squatted and lunged around him, just to keep him comfortable. We are so grateful to have found this practice.
