Dr. Lara Merker is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. She received her D.M.D. from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine (formerly the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey) and continued her specialty training by completing a three-year surgical residency program in Periodontics and Implantology at the New York University College of Dentistry. Dr. Merker is a member of the American Academy of Periodontics, Academy of Osseointegration, Northeastern Society of Periodontists, New Jersey Society of Periodontists, American Dental Association and New Jersey Dental Association. Dr. Merker was recently honored with the American Associations of Womens Dentistry Award. She attends multiple conferences and continuing education courses each year where she passionately continues to stay on the cutting edge of periodontics.

Creating a relaxing environment and ensuring that you are fully informed about all aspects of your treatment is Dr. Merkers top priority. She will spend ample time explaining the hows and why of periodontal and implant diagnosis and treatment.
