Hobeich Endodontics ' mission is to provide specialized and comprehensive care in a friendly, safe, and state of the art environment. Our focus is on the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the pulp (the soft tissues within the tooth; i.e., the 'nerve') and the periapical tissues (i.e., the root end area) of the teeth. Dr. Paul Hobeich, a local for over 25 years, and his team look forward to serving Tucson, Arizona and becoming your root canal specialist.
Dr. Paul Hobeich attended dental school at Arizona School of Dental and Oral Health. After graduating from dental school in 2010, he began an Endodontic residency at Baylor College of Dentistry. Upon completion of the program in 2012 he started Hobeich Endodontics. In 2020 he became Board Certified with the American Board of Endodontics. He teaches endodontics to the 'Advanced Education in General Dentistry' residents that are part of the Lutheran Medical program. Dr. Paul Hobeich will continue becoming more involved at a local, state, and national level as an advocate for endodontics.
Dr. James Sather attended dental school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry. He graduated with his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 2005. After graduating from dental school, he completed a General Practice Residency (GPR) in hospital dentistry for a year prior to his endodontic residency. He completed his endodontic residency in 2008 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry. Dr. Sather has been practicing endodontics in Tucson since 2008.
The best part about being an endodontist is being able to alleviate your tooth pain, all while saving your tooth and surpassing your expectations. I understand that having tooth pain can be very traumatic. My treatment goal is to promptly remove your discomfort and assist you to return to your normal daily routines.
The doctors and staff are committed to ensuring patients have a wonderful experience in the event they need a root canal. As endodontists we are specialist who are dedicated to the diagnosis of dental and systemic diseases of the head and neck, especially head and neck pain and infections, root canal treatments and re-treatments, periapical surgery (surgery done to save teeth where root canal treatment either is impossible or does not succeed), and treatment of trauma to the teeth. Endodontists have over two years of specialized postdoctoral training to meet the unique and wide variety of dental needs of the patient population to be treated. I was referred for a root canal evaluation. Little did I know, I did need one and they were ready to do it on the spot. I was shocked and very nervous. It was the quickest and easiest experience! As another mentioned, my nervous jitters were calmed. I went back to my dentist for a crown two days later. Good as new!

Had a root canal a little over a year ago still have problems went back to the dentist they sent me back to get my root canal checked because I'm still having pain missed my appointment rescheduled my second appointment and then they told me they cannot see me ever again because I missed my appointments offered to pay for the missed appointments I'm a first responder and got called out both appointments which I called an hour before to reschedule when they told me they could no longer see me again customers beware

Dr. Slather and his assistant were appreciated. They could see I was in pain and worked to make me feel comfortable. I recommend this office if you need root canal work, they are great!

I was referred to this office my Dentist and I wholeheartedly recommend them to others. The procedure was completed by Dr. Sather with skill and efficiency. This was one of easiest dental experiences I have ever had, considering that I was dreading it.

Was very happy with Dr. Hobeich and his staff, they had me in an out in a sufficient time. Dr.Hobeich and his assistant were great, explaining what was wrong and what had to be done. Great place!

I have been trying to get an appointment with this place for years now. It is basically the only place that takes my insurance, but they are still very picky with their patients. They claimed that I had missed multiple appointments which is not true. This is due to the fact that I was late ONCE by 10 minutes to an appointment which I had gone and gotten done. There was also a time during covid where I had an appointment and couldn't attend because I was ill, therefore I did not show up. However, because of this happening they no longer consider me a patient at their practice anymore. I think that they need to take better care for all their long-term patients such as myself.

Amazing, kind, caring, quick, and easy root canal. Kristina was so thoughtful, thorough and attentive to nervous jitters, so helpful and she made our visit painless! Dr Paul Hobeich, was incredibly informative, reassuring, quick and careful to make sure his patent had all she needed for a successful procedure. We couldn't believe how efficient he was and how fast we were finished and on our way! Truly grateful for the wonderful service we received!

I took my 10 year old daughter here and couldn't have been more happy with the care she received from the endodontist and the hygienist assisting him. The hygienist was so pleasant and kind. He explained everything to my daughter before he checked anything. He was very personable and put anxieties at ease. The endodontist provided great care to my daughter. The front office staff could've been better. They seemed bothered that I didn't bring in the paper referral even with speaking with them 2 times prior to the visit and reminders it was never mentioned that I needed to bring the referral. My daughters dentist said that they sent everything over to the endodontist's office. The front office staff seemed annoyed that they needed to make a call to have documentation sent to them because they said they hadn't received it. Would be nice to remind the patient to bring the referral in or office staff to follow up with the referring dentist's office upon making the appointment for the patient to ensure that you have the documentation that your office needs prior to the patient's arrival for the appointment. Giving 4 stars because the provider and hygienist were great but front office staff could be improved.

I was very nervous for getting a root canal after my dog broke my front tooth in half. The staff was very comforting and caring and talked me through the process. It was quick and easy much to my surprise. I will definitely go here for future needs!!

I highly recommend hobeich endodontics. Dr. James Sather was wonderful. He is very professional. It was well worth the long drive i had to do. The staff was friendly. The dental assistant Danielle was amazing as well. My 13 year old son was very comfortable and they made a root canal seem simple, easy and quick. I was out in 45 minutes and my son is no longer feeling any pain and feels great! Thanks again to Dr. James Sather and DA Danielle.

So I've been in excruciating pain since I got my two back teeth filled on one side and I called around and somebody said hey you should call this dentist and see if they can see you so I call this was about a week and a half ago and I tell her exactly what's going on so she said yeah we can definitely take you so my appointment was last week ended up missing and do it in emergency so we rescheduled for today I drove across town made arrangements for my kids just to show up early in the morning to get seen fill out paperwork and then I hear her say oh we can't take you because you don't have a referral so you're telling me I wasted my time this week and you could have told me that last week when that wasn't even mentioned all you told me to do was yeah we can reschedule you for today why waste my time waste my gas when you could have told me this a week and a half ago before I made an appointment the first time and had to reschedule for even today definitely lack of communication on their receptionist end on top of the fact that I called to talk to the manager and she laughed as she hung up the phone so definitely not a professional job and I'm sure it was the girl with the arm tattoos definitely do not recommend anybody coming back to this dental office

The staff was great! Dr. Sather and Joey were very courteous and professional. They kept me informed of everything they were doing. Dr. Sather is an excellent dentist. Joey did a great job keeping me calm and relaxed.

Dr Hobeich and medical assistant Christina were very pleasant and informative throughout my visit in the office. I was nervous about a root canal but was quickly put at ease. I definitely recommend Dr Hobeich!

Wow! I was blown away by how great my visit was this morning!! From check in to X-rays to numbing and root canal, I was in and out the door in 30 minutes. No pain! Everyone was very friendly and made the whole experience relaxing and as comfortable as possible. What an amazing team!

I was nervous for my appointment. This was my first root canal. They answered all my questions. Kristina, Mari, and Dr. Hobeich all took time to explain everything. I wasn't made to feel guilty (I berate myself enough for having to do this)They even showed me my x-rays before they started and after it. Pain free procedure. If I even felt uncomfortable they would stop and adjust. I arrived 15 min. before my appointment and they got me in.
