Dr. Andr Haerian is an innovator, a scientist, a teacher, and a world-class, board-certified practitioner. Through a combination of education, practical experience, dedication to lifelong learning, and community involvement, Dr. Haerian has achieved the knowledge necessary to create perfect smiles for all his patients.

Dr. Haerian completed his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at McGill University in Montreal, Canada in 1993. While at McGill, he was honored with numerous prizes and awards for achievements in academics, practical skills, and overall excellence in treatment. In 1995, Dr. Haerian received his Master of Science in Orthodontics from the University of Detroit Mercy. He then attended the University of Michigan, School of Dentistry where he earned his PhD in Oral Health Sciences.

Fluent in English, French, and Farsi, and experienced in clinical research design, Dr. Haerian holds a breadth and depth of knowledge that facilitates great orthodontics, both practical and educational. Loving what he does, he continues to give back to his community as a Clinical attending at the University of Toledo Medical Center and Associate Professor at the University of Michigan. Teaching gives Dr. Haerian an opportunity not only to share what hes learned, but also the chance to elicit enthusiasm and excitement about the field of orthodontics.

Dr. Haerian is a proud husband of his wife Darya, a dual specialist in pediatric dentistry and endodontics. Their children Reza and Roya are the joy in their lives. When hes not in the office or with his family, Dr. Haerian enjoys snowboarding on some of the highest mountains in the world, sailing, and skiing. He has hit new heights since attaining his pilot license, but his family always keeps him well-grounded.

Dr. Jennifer Ludwig attended the University of Toledo for her undergraduate degree before continuing on to dental school. She earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Ohio State University and completed my Masters of Science degree in Orthodontics from the University of Detroit-Mercy. Dr. Ludwig is currently a Clinical Attending at the University of Toledo Medical Center, and regularly attends continuing education to stay on top of the latest advancements in orthodontics.

Dr. Ludwig also serves on the Board of the Dental Center of Northwest Ohio. The DCNWO is such an important resource to those in need of dental care and may not be able to afford care from a private practice. More than 25,000 patients are served there per year.

Dr. Ludwig spends her free time exploring (getting lost) on the trails of the fantastic park system in Oak Openings. She is passionate about travel and tries to keep a balance between snow and sun when choosing her destinations. She also serves as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Air National Guard.

Dr. Ludwig and her husband, Quinn, have a son Henry. Quinns sons Kyle and Ethan, and Brando the cat keep the house busy. If she is in need of some girl time, Dr. Ludwig knows she can count on her nieces Cydney, Skyler, and Zoey to keep her company.

Originally from Toledo, Dr. Hansen is excited to be back home as the newest doctor on the HLS team. She loves working with patients of all ages, and is inspired by the many changes that occur within patients undergoing orthodontic treatment. Being able to witness the transformation, dentally and holistically, is the most rewarding aspect of her profession. Not only is she able to achieve straighter, healthier teeth for her patients, but she also loves the confidence a new smile can bring.

Dr. Hansen received her bachelors degree in Biology from Denison University in Granville, OH before earning her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from Case Western Reserve University. Upon graduating from dental school, she was inducted into the National Dental Honor Society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU). Dr. Hansen completed her residency at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, and graduated with a masters degree in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.

Dr. Hansen is professionally affiliated with several local and national associations. She serves on the board of directors for the Toledo Dental Society, and is a member of the Ohio Dental Association, as well as the American Association of Orthodontists.

An avid runner, Dr. Hansen has completed many 5ks and half marathons, and spends much of her time in the local metroparks. She loves spending as much time as she can with family, friends, and her husband, Christopher. She also enjoys musical theatre, reading, watching soccer, and being involved in her church.
