I grew up in Logan, the son of Ray and LouAnn Hlavaty. My Father was a loved and respected Pediatrician in town who loved sports and the outdoors. I would like to think I inherited many of the things I like to do as well as my character from my father.
After graduation, Michelle and I moved to St. Louis, MO to attend dental school at Washington University where I graduated at the top of my class. Following dental school we moved to Milwaukee, WI to complete a two-year residency in Orthodontics and also complete a Masters of Science degree.
Having no orthodontic practices available to come home to in 1993 we decided to start our own. It has been a challenging yet invigorating ride as the practice has grown from nothing to what it is today. We have been blessed.

I have had my braces off for over 10 years without issues. The. One day I had my retainer brake. I called and they got me in quickly and they fixed it in 15 min free of charge. I'm not going to lie though. Dr. Hlavity is looks older then the last time I was there.

Dr Hlavaty and his staff are amazing. They are very welcoming and knowledgeable. The extreme care and detail that goes into everything Dr Hlavaty does is unrivaled! You won't find better results from anywhere else, and you will feel like a top priority through the whole process. I will forever refer anyone I know to this office!

He is the best of the best. He is a person who is attentive and caring for his patients. He is a "real experienced, skilled, brilliant" orthodontist. You can see why his fame is high. I suffered a lot with TMJ, and his treatment has improved my quality of life. The jaw and mouth that open and close hundreds of times a day are now free. He knows the mechanism of movement of the jawbone better than anyone. If general orthodontists focus on straightening teeth, Dr.Hlavaty creates a harmony of healthy jawbones along with beautiful teeth. If you are considering orthodontic treatment, you should definitely visit Dr.Hlavaty. He has the answer.

I'm sure the people here are nice and I'm sure they offer great customer care, but the fact that neither of the receptionists had a mask on their person and all of the assistants took theirs off the second they stepped away from the patients made me so uncomfortable I wanted to leave. This is a medical field where your hands are going into people's mouths, please be considerate enough to wear a mask.

Dr. Hlavaty is precise and customized my (adult) smile. Not only did he do skilled work, he listened to what I wanted and did things other orthodontists said weren't possible. At other consults I left feeling like they wanted to cut corners to make my treatment shorter or easier. Hlavaty Orthodontics just did it right from the get go, and I'm super happy with my teeth. His staff is also A+!

I can't recommend Dr. Hlavaty enough. I always get compliments on my teeth because he took the time to not only straighten my teeth, but reshaped them and made sure they were perfect before taking my braces off. He's treated all my siblings and husband and did a great job.
