Dr. Seume was born and raised on the northwest side of Houston. He graduated from Jersey Village High School with honors. He also lettered in soccer and enjoyed extracurricular activities such as art. From there Dr. Seume attended UT Austin where he attained a BA in Biology and graduated Magnum Cum Lade. During the summer of 1992, Dr. Seume worked for the Boy Scouts in Ely, Minnesota as a wilderness guide in the Boundary Waters Canoeing Area.
He attended dental school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He graduated Magnum Cum Lade with a Doctorate in Dental Surgery in May of 1998. Dr. Seume purchased Hitchcock Dental in November of the same year from Dr. Don Chapman.
In March of 1999, Dr. Seume married his wife, Kat. They live in Pearland with their two children, Mary and Ricky. They attend First United Methodist Church of Pearland where he is involved in the Mens Ministry.
Dr. Seume enjoys having a small- town dental practice and is actively involved in the community of Hitchcock. He is a two- time past president of the Hitchcock Chamber of Commerce and a current board member. He always participates in the annual Hitchcock Good Ole Days festival, volunteering where needed during the weekend. He is also a member of the Mainland Rotary Club. He supports youth sports, as well as the local Boy Scouts, and Girl Scouts.
Two of Dr. Seumes favorite past times are duck hunting and fishing. He remembers coming to Hitchcock numerous times as a child to get to the boat ramp on Second Street or to duck hunt on Halls Ranch. His third passion is talking about duck hunting or fishing. Often times his assistant has to interrupt his conversation with one of his patients regarding current fishing reports to remind him that he has work to do and fishing has to wait.
Mandi grew up in Dickinson and La Marque, Texas and graduated from La Marque High School. While she attended College of the Mainland for her prerequisites for hygiene school, she worked as a dental assistant. She worked for six years at an office in Texas City before being accepted into the dental hygiene school. She earned her Certificate in Dental Hygiene from the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston in 2005. From the 38 students in her class, she earned the Listerine Excellence Award. This award is presented to a 2nd year student who demonstrates excellent communication skills, excellent patient management skills, and has excellent academic performance.
Mandi, and her husband, Scott,have builta home on 7 acres in Santa Fe. They have two beautiful children, Dalton and Ashly. As a family, they love the outdoors;huntingand fishing. Mandi has had horses all her life and used to barrel race at play days and open horse shows.With a career and family, Mandi does not get to spend as much time riding as she would like. The kids are very active outside of school. They both enjoy showing cattle heifers and market steers through Galveston County 4-H.
Mandi says being a Dental Hygienist is very rewarding and she plans to have a long career in the dental field. She loves being able to teach patients how to improve their oral health and maintain a healthy smile. Her previous dental assistant experience gives her a comprehensive understanding of how different dental procedures benefit patients.
Amber grew up in La Margue and League City. After Graduating from Clear Creek High School in 2000, she received a scholarship to play softball at Alvin Community College. After earning her Associates Degree at ACC, she applied and was accepted into the Dental Hygiene Program at the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston in 2003. After completing the program in 2005, Amber was introduced into our office, shortly after in January of 2006.
Amber loves to try to stay young at heart and rarely turns down a chance to conquer an extreme sport. From skydiving, snowboarding, and dirt bikes to carving the concrete on her husbands Segway style skateboard called the OneWheel. Its all about the Adrenaline!
Amber and her husband are high school sweethearts and have been married for 13 years. They have a very energetic 8 year old son and a 10 year old daughter that keep them busy. When they arent shuffling their kids around to their extracurricular activities, they enjoy being outdoors, watching movies and eating out.
When Amber joined our team in 2006, she solidified our crew into the perfect dental team. Patients find that Amber is a very patient and gentle hygienist and feel she is a welcome addition to the team. We have found that even our most cowardly patients dont mind returning for their routine visits.

The best ! My dentist was very gentle. She talked me through the whole process, informing me on what tools she was using and why and also breaking down the dental lingo. She also accommodated my financial needs without me having to ask. 10 out of 10 I DEFINITELY recommend!

Horrible staff. Big issue. They had my nerves worked up for a whole month I have been trying to set up an appointment (BTW what I'm trying to say in writing is what I was TRYING to tell the lady in office today on 7/13/22 but I kept getting talked over or ignored.) But anyways I have been trying to set up an appointment for a whole month an so on trying to get my x-rays sent over finally sent them in and then received an email to resend them in Jpeg which I called my old dentist (which I love but I am unfortunately unable to make it all the way to Pasadena) send them over to me so they do and they even call me to confirm I had received which I did. I then sent them to office dental in hitchcock I received nothing in regards to them receiving it which when the last time I spoke with a lady up there from the very first time with this whole situation my understanding was I will get a call once she receives it correctly so now I called upset not valued as a guest or as if they even want me as a patient the lady over the phone was rude I kept getting interrupted she didn't want to hear the frustration of me trying to get in contact with them I've called before multiple times with no answers she didn't care she just kept saying "how can I help you when can I schedule you in" just no communication skills or empathy. My dental work will be costing well over 3 or 4 grand and I may be paying cash if my insurance for dental wasn't already over my amount for use this year which I am fine with I just need it done. But I don't think this place deserves my time or money. I will be looking for a different dentist locally around me that does. If you're looking to feel comfortable and feel safe with getting your teeth worked on with happy people this is not the place.

My recent visits on Monday, June 20, 2022 and Thursday, June 23, 2022, as well as past visits to Hitchcock Dental is always a pleasurable one, because Dr. Seume and Awesome Dental Assistant Staff (i.e., Ms. Danielle, Ms. Melissa, Receptionist) are very Caring, Courteous and Professional.

Friendly staff, and great dentist! I had all four of my wisdom teeth pulled (two at a time). Both times went very well as I had minimal pain and swelling. I highly recommend this dentist.

Dt. Seume and his staff were "topnotch" as usual! I went in to have my teeth cleaned and discovered I had split one and needed to have it extracted. I was able to have it done the same day. Hitchcock Dental is the best!!

Best dental experience I've ever had hands down. Had absolutely ZERO pain during or after the procedure(2 fillings). Waited in the lobby less than 5 minutes. The staff is excellent all the way around. Thank y'all for a great work!

Best Dentist and team EVER! Had 3 root canals @ 8 a.m., went back to work @ 10 a.m. I never felt any pain through the procedure or after. They always go above and beyond @ Hitchcock dental! 10 stars!!!

Always a pleasant experience with the staff and especially the dental hygienist who cleans my teeth. Wait time is non existent. Great experience each and every time I go see the dentist. Used to be my worst fear. Not since started going to Hitchcock dental.
