Dr. Lucas Hinke is a general dentist who is from Cedar Falls, Iowa. He attended the University of Northern Iowa where he completed his undergraduate studies. He continued his education at the University of Iowa where he graduated with his dental degree in 2009. He began his professional career in St. Louis, Missouri working in Public Health. After working in Missouri for 5 years, he decided to move back to Iowa and has been practicing dentistry in the Des Moines area since 2015. Dr. Hinke is excited to have recently started his own practice, Hinke Family Dentistry.

They were awesome!! I was very comfortable the whole time. Very clean and modern waiting room. Very kind staff and both my hygienist and the dentist were considerate and explained anything I had questions about. So happy I picked them for my new dentist, and I can't wait to work with them in the future as well. 10/10!

Always a nice experience at Hinke! I really liked the new hygienist... I think her name was Alexis. She was thorough and super sweet to talk to. Dr. Hinke is great per usual. Wouldn't go anywhere else!

Dr. Hinke is very good. He's honest with you about your dental needs and gives you options when possible. I needed a crown, but wanted to wait until my insurance would cover some of the cost, and he was very accommodating. Dr. Hinke makes you feel at ease, is gentle, and concerned about his patients. He checked several times to make sure I wasn't feeling pain. I've been very happy with the work he has done. The staff is friendly and professional, too. I highly recommend this dental office. Alexis did a great job as a hygienist. She is very gentle, yet thorough. Very friendly too.

I'm new to the area therefore this was my first visit to Hinke Family Dentistry. Everyone was so welcoming and professional. Dr Hinke was amazing and very informative. I look forward to my next visit and would certainly recommend this dental facility to anyone.

This dentist office is wonderful!!!! They got me in for an emergency situation that other dentists wouldn't get me in for over a month. I am so greatful to them. Wonderful kind employee's and dentist.

I didn't go to the dentist for 10 years due to depression, had deep cavities and a small hole in my front teeth. The work Dr Hinke did on my teeth is amazing and nobody here has ever made me feel bad for neglecting my teeth, which really means a lot to me. Everyone here is nice.

Most experienced, courteous, and friendly hygienist. We (my entire family) have been going to this provider for years. They have always provided the best and friendly service. It's a breeze to make or change appointments. The front desk staff are amazing and friendly. They always send reminders for appointments. They are timely with insurance and will take care of their patients. After years of amazing services, my outstanding hygienist Becky retired and I was exploring another provider at a different location, however, Becky recommended Angela in the same office. I'm glad we stay with this provider and glad Angela took my entire family as her client. Angela more than exceeded all my expectations. She's very professional. She's friendly and courteous. She is now caring for my entire family. I recommend this provider for all your dental care and routine maintenance. You will not be disappointed. Our family of 5 have been coming to Hinke for the last 15 years. Our former hygienist Becky has retired. We valued her kindness, skill, experience, and relationship she had with all of us. The transition to the other hygienists has been fantastic. We see much of the similar practices and care in them as we did with Becky.

I was beyond thrilled with my first visit at Hinke Family Dentistry. Upon entering the doors the staff greeted me with smiles and exceptional service. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. Dr. Hinke worked on my mouth with the most concerned care I have ever had at a dentist office. I would highly recommend this office for both children and adults.

I have been seeing Angie for my cleanings my entire life (well a lot of it) and she is so great to work with! She does a great job and is professional but friendly, always. Dr. Hinke is a great guy and I've been very happy since he came into the office. The ladies at the front desk are always friendly and helpful. I moved to Johnston and still make the drive to this office. Great experiences every time!
