The chance to serve, get to know personally, and have a long-term relationship with my patients is what makes going to work every day a happy opportunity for me and my dental team.Hearing about a patients's grand-baby or job promotion, or providing a sympathetic ear when needed, makes dentistry more about people and not justteeth.Wepride ourselves on continuity of care, and many of our patients have been with the practice more than 40 years (building on the strong foundation of Doctors Lady, Streeter and Hawk). We look forward to many years of continued service, too, with old and new patients alike.
My own dental career began in 1993 with a practice in McMinnville, Tennessee right after graduating from UT College of Dentistry. After practicing there for 16 years, my wife and I made the decision to return to my hometown Kingsport in order to be close to my parents and raise our children in a growing, friendly community.
I place a high emphasis on continued professional training. I am proud to be a member of the ADA, TDA, 1st District Dental Society, Kingsport Dental Society, and I was named Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry in 2007.

Wow!! What a wonderful experience I had. The best one ever at a dentist office. I highly recommend them. They all from the front to the dentist are the nice most gentle folks I've met in a long time!!!!!!! If you need a dentist I say go there!!! You'll be glad you did. Tell June sent ya.

Always great service and good work by Mary (cleaning) and Dr Himelwright explaining options. I have been a part of this practice since I came to Kingsport 45 years ago and Dr Lady was up on West Stone Dr. I would not go anywhere else.

Excellent service at Dr Himelwright Dentistry, Mary does an excellent job of cleaning my teeth plus answering any of my questions. Dr Himelwright is always helpful plus very professional when looking at my teeth. To be honest, going to the dentist is not something I enjoy but Mary and Dr Himelwright make the experience very pleasant! Appointment on Oct. 24th was excellent. I was treated with the best care, I really appreciate their willingness to spent time to take care of my reasons for my appointment. Everyone goes beyond to make you feel appreciated, that says a lot since I never really liked going to a dentist in the first place.

Dr himelwright and Michaela were awesome. Today was my first experience with them doing actual dental work. They were both friendly, professional, and proficient. One of the better experiences I've had with dental work! The front desk staff were also very friendly and proficient. I would highly recommend dr Himelwright's office.

It is unheard of to say I enjoyed my dentist visit. But, Meredith and Melinda are family, friends and have a special place in my heart. I enjoyed meeting Brian and his family and all the staff. I can say truthfully I enjoyed my visit and I think this will be home for Donna and myself. Everyone was 10 star. Thank you all.

Very nice people that work there! my dentist did a really good job cleaning my teeth and making me feel comfortable about everything . They explain everything to you and even will call to set up appointments if you are needing help doing so . I moved to Kingsport about 6 months ago and was very nervous about going to a new place . I chose the right place to go ! Highly recommend
