Hillview Dental Care is a Ventura based family dentist practice that treats patients of all ages. We are committed to delivering the highest quality dental care and do so using advanced dental equipment. We are a cosmetic dentist that offers services like checkups, teeth cleaning, crowns, veneers and more.
Dr. Meier grew up in the San Fernando Valley, attended Taft High School, and then went on to UCLA where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychobiology in 1984. He then attended the highly ranked UCLA Dental School and graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1988. After completing his Oral Surgery Rotation at UCLA Harbor Hospital, Dr. Meier worked under multiple dentists. In 1992, he settled in Ventura and has been operating here ever since.
Dr. Meier is a member of many professional organizations including the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. He recently jointed Dentists Who Care, an organization that provides free dental care worldwide for the under-served. He attends over 50 hours yearly of ongoing education in various areas of dentistry including esthetic dentistry, implant dentistry and orthodontics just to name a few. On top of all of that, Dr. Meier has supplied several general dental articles for the Ventura County Star over the years.
Dr. Meier lives locally with his wife and three college-aged children. They are truly the joys of his life and his dedication. His hobbies include participating in various sports (especially tennis and physical fitness), extensive reading and occasional wine tasting! Dr. Meier is a trustee for the Ventura Chamber of Commerce PAC. He also loves to follow the UCLA Bruins sports teams, during good times or bad.
Growing up in Southern California, I always knew the importance of a sunny smile. And as a dentist, I am able to make sure that my community has confident smiles that they love. It is my absolute pleasure to serve Ventura and have the ability to give my neighbors and their families the smiles of their dreams.

I have been with Hillview Dental since Dr. Meier took over the practice many years ago. I love their friendly staff, and Dr. Meier is a great dentist with a very professional but friendly personality.

Many years ago I had to find a new dentist because Dr Meier didn't take my new dental insurance. I went to my wife's dentist until he went back to teaching. At my wife's first exam with her new dentist, she said my wife needed $7,000 worth dental work. There was no mention of this level of work by her former dentist. I told her we were going to get a second opinion & I went back to Dr Meier. He examined my wife, looked at the itemized list of work & met with us both. He said generally my wife needed the work but he would do some procedures differently & pointed out her estimate was high by $1,000. We asked Dr Meier if he was accepting new patients & he was. We transferred our care to Dr Meier & had our dental records sent to him. It was the right decision for us & we've never been disappointed. This is a long story but needs to be apart of our recommendation because of Dr Meier's honesty & integrity. Thank you Dr Meier.

I didn't have to wait long in the waiting room for my appointment. The staff were friendly and courteous. The dentist and dental hygienist were knowledgable. I would recommend this dentist's office to anyone looking for a new dentist.

I had my dental cleaning scheduled on September 8 and I got plenty of notices so I don't forget. RJ cleaned my teeth and it was a great experience. Dr. Mier checked everything toward the end to make sure if further work needs to be done. Thank you Hillview Dental Care

This awesome team of personalized professionals has gained 110% of my trust & respect for many years. The knowledge & care each so genuinely give at EACH visit is why I still travel from Santa Maria for ALL my dental services. Dr Mier ALWAYS takes the time to educate & advise without disregarding what I think I want to do. His wise suggestions of alternatives have saved me time & money.
