Jodi Nguyen, DDS, finds her purpose from helping others. I want to change patients lives not only with their oral health, but also their mental health and overcoming their dental anxiety. Watching a patients progress gives me great satisfaction. I feel like I am truly making a difference every day.
Originally from Dodge City, KS, Dr. Nguyen calls Wichita her second home. She attended Wichita State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Biological Science degree. After practicing as a dental assistant for more than seven years, Dr. Nguyen earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. She credits her parents immigrants from Vietnam for showing her the value of hard work and giving back to others. Growing up in a low-income family, we went to public health facilities in order to keep our health in good condition. When I was older, I started volunteering at events such as KMOM (The Kansas Mission of Mercy) to give back to the community. I have learned empathy and the desire to provide the highest quality of care to my patients through these experiences, says Dr. Nguyen.
As a general dentist, Dr. Nguyen will provide Hillside Family Dentist patients with comprehensive dental care, educate patients on their oral health, and create treatment plans that are tailored to their individual wants and needs. She performs various dental services in Wichita including dental fillings, crowns, tooth extractions, teeth whitening, Invisalign clear aligners and more.
When shes not serving patients, Dr. Nguyen is a self-proclaimed foodie and noodle expert. She loves eating pho, ramen, japachae, and stir fry egg noodles and enjoys snacking on exotic fruits such as jackfruits, rambutan, and longans. Her favorite dessert is a sweet Japanese treat called Mochi. Her idea of a perfect weekend is having family and friends over for dinner and enjoying crotchet projects on Sundays.

Horrible the people at the front desk are rude. They talk about customers after they get off the phone with them. I sat in the lobby for an hour in a half waiting on my husband and that was all I heard was gossip. Then to top it off we had an appointment we knew we where going to be late since we had issues getting the kids out of school so I called and let them know that we would be alittle late and she said that was okay as long as we were no more than 10 minutes I told her thank you and when they got there they were only 7 minutes late and the lady told them that we had to reschedule. So that right there was my last straw with them and we will not be back and will not be recommending anyone to them.

This place is amazing. The staff is caring and friendly. The doctors are incredible, and very friendly and informative. This whole office is looking out for your best interest, and how to get you taken care of in best way possible. Yes, I highly recommend this to everyone. You won't be disappointed. I can't express how how great this place has been to me. Dr. Doan, and staff have treated me excellent. So if you are looking for a dentist, or maybe you are just not happy were you are. Very pleasant experience. It's been a while since I've been, but I was able to get through a cleaning without a lot of pain. Back on track of every six months and I'm glad. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Thank you Hillside

Everyone here is incredibly pleasant.. and the dr really seemed great.. but what i was told would be an $80 bill which i pre-paid has now turned into $400 because they didnt bother to call my insurance company and check.. the work didnt even need done right then.. it makes me angry because they are all so nice I wanted to love it

Staff were all friendly and welcoming. My dentist, Jodi Nguyen, was entertaining as she informed me of the condition of my teeth and what she could do for me. I thought she was very thorough in her assessment. She did a good job of pulling out a tooth and cutting out the infected tissue left in the area so that I could avoid taking an antibiotic. She provided me with the information I needed to take care of my remaining teeth and the area she had worked on. I left happy after being given a return date for follow up.

The cleaning process was a breeze. Could not even say it was uncomfortable. Was sorry I could not get the other procedures performed that day and will have to come back. But that's the way things happen sometimes.

I like this dentist office. I'm just sad cause the dentist Jasmine that was there moved. Sometimes they change my appointment when I make it. It's makes me mad cause my appointment shouldn't get moved back by two months. This is your patient Erica H. Y'all used to have Dr Jasmine Shakya. Until he moved out of town and relocated with her family.
