Dr. R. Kent Scoville graduated from Weber State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Zoology and Chemistry. He then attended the University of Southern California School of Dentistry and graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Following graduation, he served as a Dental Officer in the United States Air Force where he received further training in an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas.
Dr. Scoville and his wife Linda Galvez Scoville have been married for over 45 years. They had the opportunity to experience over 22 years of that time in military service in many parts of the world. They have been blessed with 6 children and 13 grandchildren.
Ronald J. Scoville Dr. Ron is the oldest of 6 children and grew up moving around the world in an Air Force family. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology in 2001, then received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Southern California in 2005.
Ron moved to Utah and joined the practice in 2005, then a few years later married Darcee Kawaguchi. They have 5 beautiful children who are full of life and energy. Ron still enjoys racquetball, the piano, and watching his kids tumble and play other sports.
Dr. David K. Scoville graduated from the USC School of Dentistry in 2015 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He also attended a two-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency and received a Masters Degree in Oral Biology. He spent six years as a dentist in the U.S. Army and was stationed in D.C., North Carolina, South Korea, and Louisiana. He left the army in 2021 to move closer to family and spend more time with his nieces and nephews.
Dr. Brandi Oberg grew up in Cedar City Utah and received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Southern Utah University. She then moved to Nebraska and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Creighton University in 1998. During her senior year of dental school, she met her husband Lane Oberg. They moved to Utah where Brandi completed a General Practice Residency at the University of Utah. Now, Brandi and her husband have three amazing kids. Corbin, Mason and Austin. As a family, they enjoy visiting National Parks, camping, hiking and anything adventurous.
After working with us as a dental assistant for several years, Kaitlin finished her Nursing degree. She has worked as an RN the past couple of years and we are excited to have her return to help serve our patients who want Cosmetic skin treatments.
Marianne Jensen has been our office manager at hillside dental for over 20 years. Marianne is an expert at understanding dental insurance benefits and is always looking out for our patients, helping them to get the most out of their insurance. Bruce is in a management position at another company but he still takes the time to keep our fish tank vibrant and healthy!

Absolutely love this place. Have been going for years. Since my kids were small. They offer state of the art dental care with reasonable prices. They added Botox and fillers. Get your teeth looking good and healthy, and your frown lines gone. Win win if you ask me!

I came to Dr Oberg after bad experiences at another clinic with a dentist who cared little about my teeth. Dr Oberg listens to my concerns and diagnosis the issues for me teeth accordingly with wonderful methods, helped me feel comfortable and restored my trust in why I like to visit the dentist.

Dentists are great but the front desk staff need some remedial training. We have received numerous re-bills for visits and used to assume it was just the percentage we owed after our insurance. Finally called our insurance to verify and they never received any claims... Then found out that the staff at the front desk had been submitting our claims to the wrong insurance company for the past two years despite providing them with the correct information at each visit... we have encountered many other military members that have had the same issues and despite the large amount of military patrons, they still can't get their stuff together. Love the dentists but incompetent staff is driving us to find another dental office.

I had an appointment at 420 and hit some traffic about 3 miles from their office, I called as a courtesy to let them know I was going to be about/maybe 10 minutes late and they wanted me to reschedule... ITS 10 MINUTES!!! I could understand if it was like 20 minutes but 10 MINUTES! They're office personnel do not care about the patients and I wonder if the dentist and hygienist do too. I was infuriated because I had to make arrangements with my employer to get off as well as child care, and now I have to explain to my employer why I need more time off because my dental providers are selfish and do not make their patients a priority! Go somewhere else!

They are very nice here, and give great tips and advice to help keep my teeth healthy. I have sensitive gums and tight teeth, and they are always gentle. So I come away feeling clean, not tortured.

Going to the dentist has never been my favorite thing but Hillside Dental makes it much more enjoyable with their friendly staff and nice new, warm inviting dental office. I had a crown pop off that another dentist office had done and Hillside was able to get me right in the same day to put it back on. Thanks so much Hillside Dental!
