A custom-fit retainer helps maintain your teeth and jaw in the correct position following your braces treatment. Well let you know how often to wear it, but its especially important to wear it full-time right after treatment and then transition into night-time wear.

Dr. Charles L. Chambliss started his Mobile, AL practice after completing the orthodontic residency program at the University of Alabama School of Dentistry. The first office was located on Monterey Street, just off of Government Street.
Orthodontist Dr. Chambliss stayed at the Monterey Street location until 1965 and built an office on Beltline Highway named Dr. Charles L. Chambliss, D.M.D. He also began a satellite practice in Brewton, AL, to offer more convenience for patients.
Dr. J. Russell Goodloe, Jr. began to practice with Dr. Chambliss, and the new practice name became Drs. Chambliss and Goodloe, DMD, PC. This same year, Dr. Goodloe began a satellite practice in Jackson, AL, expanding the teams reach.
Dr. Rosalyn Salter joined the practice, built by Dr. Chambliss and Dr. Goodloe, who practiced together from 1970 until 1991. Dr. Chambliss retired two years later, and the practice name changed to Drs. Goodloe and Salter, DMD, PC. signifying a new partnership.
The practice moved from Beltline Highway to the present location on Hillcrest Road. We renamed the practice Hillcrest Orthodontics, PC. Dr. Goodloe retired in 2008, and Dr. Salter continues the practice today as a solo orthodontist in Mobile with a satellite practice in Brewton.
Hillcrest Orthodontics continues to provide excellent orthodontic treatment for thousands of patients, many of whom are now friends and bring in their children for dental care. Were honored to positively impact so many lives in the Brewton and Mobile, AL area with orthodontics for kids and adults.
Dr. Salter has taken care of both of my children, and the results have been fantastic! Everything is explained upfront, and there are no surprises. She and her staff are very caring and professional. I highly recommend her practice if you are considering orthodontics.

Dr. Roz and her entire staff are top-notch from the great welcome at the front desk, to the last mouthwash "spit" into the well-appointed sinks and brushing station, to the courteous reminders by text of the appointments you won't want to be late for. Dr. Salter and her team were nothing short of amazing throughout the entire process. I can't speak highly enough of them. Not only did she keep me updated throughout the process and was vigilant about my needs and my TMJ, I was able to get my braces off in nearly half the time expected.

If you are searching for the most qualified and professionally skilled orthodontic practice - you have found it! Dr. Salter and her staff goes well beyond others with being compassionate and caring. Recently, I had an Orthodontic crisis on a day that her office was closed. I left a message and Dr. Salter called me back with a calming voice. She asked that I meet her at the office ASAP. The very unusual mis-hap on my behalf was fixed and I was leaving with happy tears!

Very very very satisfied with the whole staff and process from start to finish! They are so welcoming and knowledgeable. Dr. Salter goes above and beyond to be personable with her patients and keeping you informed. She even reached out to me personally the evening after I got my braces on to see how I was doing.
